World Championship Wrestling, Inc. (WCW) is a privately controlled integrated media (focusing in television, internet, and live events), sports, and entertainment company dealing primarily in the professional wrestling industry, with major revenue sources also coming from movies, music, product licensing, and direct product sales. Christian Championship Wrestling who is the owner. Christian Championship Wrestling holds approximately 100% of WCW's economic interest and 96% of all voting power in the company. The company's global headquarters are located in Houston, Texas. WCW's business focus is on professional wrestling. It is currently the largest professional wrestling promotion in the world, and holds an extensive library of videos representing a significant portion of the visual history of professional wrestling. World Championship Wrestling is an American Wrestling promotion formed in Atlanta, Georgia and now based out of Houston, Texas, United States MiniUnitedStatesFlag. World Championship Wrestling is operated mainly throughout the United States. On the January 1st episode of Nitro, then- CEO Jim Ross announced that Maximillion Pegasus Omnimedia Inc. had purchased the federation. The deal was finalized on January 2, 2007. On May 31, 2008, WCW went to battle with World Wrestling Entertainment, World Wrestling All-Stars, Christian Championship Wrestling, and National Wrestling Alliance with the winner taking over the losing teams organization.

World Championship Wrestling: The Beginning Stage

Ted Turner is a multi-billionaire global media tycoon businessman, from Atlanta, Georgia, United States, who made his fortunes off of media publications. In 2006, Ted Turner bought several locally owned wrestling franchises. With this new media spectrum, Turner reorganized the wrestling promotions that he had and named it World Championship Wrestling. Around this time, former wrestling referee Jim Ross had a revolutionary idea to take the wrestling business to a new level of playing field and take it away from the lightly light, rundown, and poor publish event areas to the larger arenas, brighter lights, and excellent publishing event areas. With Turners' money and with Ross' knowledge of wrestling, they brought in a new breed of wrestling to the metro Atlanta area. Shortly thereafter, WCW gained notoriety throughout the wrestling world. WCW gained growing throughout the state of Georgia, then moving into the southeast United States. Finally with enough time went by, WCW was all over the United States.

WCW Monday Nitro

With the initial success of World Championship Wrestling, Ted Turner and Jim Ross had a meeting in late August to discuss the future of World Championship Wrestling. Jim Ross came up with the idea of a weekly one (1) hour program on Turner Network Television (TNT) and Turner agreed to allow this new program to air starting on September 4th, 2006. During this meeting, the location of the premier episode was also agreed upon. The location was set at Mall Of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Bischoff as Nitros' General Manager

On November 6th, 2006 edition of Nitro, Jim Ross announced that Eric Bischoff will be the current General Manager until further notice.

Intro To Web-Pay-Per-Views

On the October 9th edition of Monday Nitro, C.E.O. Jim Ross introduced to the company and to WCW Fans that WCW had signed a 3-month deal to produce 1-a-month Pay-Per-View events on the Web. If the first event is a success, WCW will be granted more event rights to September 2007. By September 2007, WCW and the Web-Pay-Per-View-Retailer had renewed for October 2006 to December 2007 physical year.

WCW becomes a developmental league for NWA

In early- November 2006, NWA and WCW agreed to coinside with each other. WCW will be able to use NWA superstars and able to produce its own Web-Pay-Per-View Events.

Maximillion Pegasus Omnimedia Inc. Purchase

On the January 1st, 2007 episode of "Nitro", then- CEO Jim Ross announced that Maximillion Pegasus had indeed purchased WCW.
