The WWE Television Championship is a Mid-Card Men's Professional Wrestling Championship belt made by and for the WWE. It is currently being defended on the Smackdown brand with it's current Champion, Akira Tozawa having recently just defended it against BOA.
History[]
Following Wrestlemania 33, WWE unveil a slew of Championship belts, with the Television title being one of them. The Championship's first match to crown the inaugural champion was a 8-Man Over the Top-Rope Battle Royal, where Luke Harper would ultimately winning after eliminating the then debuting, Tye Dellinger.
