The WWE Tag Team Championship is the top-tier championship title for Tag Teams in the WWE E-Fed federation. The title is currently defended on both brands, making it an interbrand championship. The first champions were Vampiro and Batista who defeated Too Cool & Gangstas to become the inaugural champions. Ignition (AJ Styles & Travis Kooper) are the current champions in their second reign as a team. Individually, this is the third reign for Styles and the record-breaking fifth for Kooper. They won the vacated championships in a Triple Threat match defeated Team Hell No and Edge & Christian. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) hold the record for most reigns (as a team) with three. The shortest reign lasted six days when Travis Kooper and his hand chosen partner DDP lost them to Kofi Kingston & Kevin Thorn on an episode of RAW. Hardcore Bulldogs (Hardcore Holly & Harry Smith) currently hold the record for longest reign (as a team) with 309 days. Travis Kooper currently holds the record for the longest combined days (as an individual) with 536+ days. Kooper also currently holds the record for most WWE Tag Team Championships (with five reigns).
