The WAR match is a professional wrestling match from the promotion 4CW. Its name has also been used for 4CW PPVs and SuperShows where the match is featured. The inaugural match took place in 2004. As of 2020, there have been twelve WAR matches.
The WAR match is a modified cage match involving two teams. Traditionally, the match was contested as a 4 vs 4 match but more recently it has been contested in the 3 vs 3 format. There have been many variants of the match, including how the cage is structured and whether eliminations occur or not. The 2020 edition of WAR was the first ever match with five singles competitors battling it out for the 4CW World Championship, rather than two teams battling it out. The 2022 edition of WAR was the first ever WAR match to add a WAR GAMES stipulation.
