True Vixens is an American reality television series that premiered on May 15, 2016 on MTV and the EAW Network. The series gives viewers an inside look at the lives of female Elitists signed to Elite Answers Wrestling, from their work within the company to their personal lives. Behind the scenes footage of the women is also included.
Production[]
EAW's Women's division entered a previously-unseen period of prosperity in 2015. On the heels of the division's public profile rising significantly, rumors of an impending reality show began to circulate. In early 2016, EAW ordered the first season of the series, and it was confirmed that production for the show that would become True Vixens was slated to begin that same year. Cailin Dillon, Tarah Nova, Aria Jaxon, and Stephanie Matsuda were the first cast members to sign on, followed soon thereafter by Cameron Ella Ava. Eris LeCava and Heart Break Gal were added next, followed by Madison Kaline, and the cast was rounded out by the additions of Azumi Goto and Erica Ford. Kaline would depart from the show after the second episode, as she began a hiatus in late May. Matsuda and Ford finished up with the show in July and were then replaced by recent signees Consuela Rose Ava andBB Vita. Goto and LeCava would go on to depart in the fall, with the addition of Kendra Shamez thereafter.
In July and August 2016, several of the cast members (Nova, Jaxon, Dillon, and the Avas, initially) were the subjects of a makeup line produced by MAC in conjunction with EAW.
Production for season two began in early 2017. Jaxon, Nova, Dillon, and Cameron were retained as main cast members. Consuela became part of the recurring cast, and Stephanie Matsuda returned to the main cast. Former recurring cast member Alexis Diemos was added to the main cast in March 2017.
Unlike other EAW programs, those who appear on the show use their real names, rather than their ring names. Former cast member Heart Break Gal, for example, was addressed by her real name, Claudia.
On March 20, 2017, it was announced that from the season two premiere onwards, Aria Jaxon, Cailin Dillon, and Tarah Nova would serve as executive producers.
On September 7, 2017, Dillon was released from her EAW contract, thereby also departing from the show and her role as an executive producer. Consuela and Madison also made their returns to the main cast.
After the death of recurring cast member Brody Sparks on October 26, 2017, it was announced that production was going on hiatus. However, news also broke that the forthcoming episodes would be dedicated to her memory.
