Biography[]
Kyle Owens was born in the suburbs of Las Vegas, Nevada. He grew up as "The Hyper Kid" in the family, consisting of his mother, father, and their 4 other children. Owens was usually less remembered in the family, due to his shy nature. He often stayed in his room by himself, watching wrestling. He grew up to idolize the men living under the bright spotlight. He grew up dreaming of his chance to join the likes of Owen Hart, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and his many other favorite wrestlers. When Kyle started high school, he found his voice. He found a group of friends that also had the dreams that Kyle had. They eventually bought a trampoline and started their own "wrestling federation". This is when they started to analyze professional wrestling so much, they picked up "The Rules of the Trade". They started to wrestle each other on their trampoline and continued this through high school. When Kyle graduated, he was found by Erick Wilson, owner of Academy of Wrestling. Wilson admired Kyle and made him his protege. Wilson taught Kyle everything else he need to know, and gave him a spot on the AoW roster, only being 18. After his success in AoW, he had a falling out with Wilson, due to his drug and alcohol use. He married his manager Haylei Rhodes, and they had one child, named Gwen. The two kept touring independant promotions until they divorced after 2 years of matrimony. This caused Owens to go into severe depression, and also caused him to increase his alcohol use. This time of his life was dark and sad. After drinking more than 4 times over the Nevada drinking limit, Owens was rushed to the emergency room for alcohol poisoning. The medical records state that Owens flatlined twice, before he was pronounced stable. The hospital forced Owens into rehab, which he stayed in for 6 months. When he was released from rehab, he was given psychiatric evaluations. They discovered his depression and treated it. He soon was back in the real world and was not much later back in the ring. Owens debuted in EUW as The Ringmaster, to little success. He stayed there for several months, before he left the federation for TiW. He achieved great success there, and became one of the staple superstars during its short-lived life. Due to his strong success in TiW, owner Ryan Reed refered him to the mother company of TiW, GWF. Owens soon signed with GWF and made his debut on the June 22, 2007 Friday Night brawl, in a match against fellow newcomer Cor Von. He is still a wrestler with GWF. He also participates in fledgling federation Gate City Wrestling, with success.
