The Buck (born April 7th, 1984) is an American Sim Wrestler.
Buck is best known for his work in WWE-Club Sim Federation (WCSF), Pain Stained to Wrestling (PSW), and Society of Sim (SOS). He is now in his fifth year as pro.
Buck was under contract to WCSF until May 2009. His last WCSF match was on August 10th, 2008. After that, he was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, but remained under contract. In April 2009, right after his 25th birthday, he was cleared to wrestle by his doctors. He immediately began extensive training to regain the speed and fluid movement he had before his injury. At the beginning of May 2009, Buck began talking to the WCSF moderators about a return.
However, on May 11th, right when Buck was about to make his return, the WCSF moderators resigned from the promotion due to internal problems with owner Bryan Eggers. The next day, it was announced that Society of Sim would be re-opening.
Buck asked to be released from his WCSF contract. His request was granted, and he immediately signed to return to SOS full-time. He will participate in the first SOS return show, and every show thereafter.
History[]
After working for several years on small backyard indies, The Buck made his professional debut on February 9th, 2005 in WCSF. He started as a member of The Mercs with Billy Spade, and got a shot at the WCSF Tag Titles. The team later split, and Buck won the WCSF Middleweight Title. He later vacated the title when he left the company in October 2005. He returned 2 years later.
In May 2005, Society of Sim started up. Buck made SOS his new home promotion, helping to start the company and draw in fans. From 2005 to SOS's collapse in 2008, Buck remained a main-eventer, but never won a championship.
After SOS's collapse, Buck remained in WCSF, as well as the England-based IOW, which he had worked in on and off for years prior. In March 2008, Buck announced he was going on a break from wrestling, which included an indefinite leave of absence from WCSF.
He soon returned to wrestling, but only in IOW. He moved to Liverpool in order to work full-time in IOW.
Buck told interviewers that Sim wrestling "wasn't the same" without SOS, and he thought his "passion may never be rekindled".
One month later, when IOW was forced to temporarily cease production of shows due to financial problems and roster defections, Buck decided not to return to any other Sim promotion for the time being.
At WCSF's Annihilation 2008, Buck made a surprise return to a warm response from the crowd. Buck involved himself in a feud between former rivals and friends Daz and Josh Outland. He returned as a face, taking sides with Daz.
Backyard Wrestling[]
Buck began his career on the northeast backyard circuit. He had no formal training, but he was taught lessons by many veterans of the business. Buck worked as a mid-carder for several northeastern small-time indies before being signed to WCSF.
WWE-Club Sim Federation (2005)[]
In early 2005, Buck joined WCSF. It was the largest company Buck had been a part of so far in his career. WCSF was also the first company to provide Buck with a large enough paycheck to make a living, so he considers WCSF his real pro debut.
On 2/9/05, WCSF held its first Mayhem TV show. The Buck was on the card against Tyson Blake. He won the match, earning a full-time contract with WCSF.
Buck continued to impress in the new company. He and his partner Billy Spade earned a shot at the first WCSF Tag Team Titles at WCSF's first PPV, Revolution. While Buck and Spade came up empty, their effort allowed them to climb further through the ranks in the company.
The team of Buck and Billy Spade was then joined by a manager, Charisma. Buck believed Charisma was a help to the group, but Spade believed she was a liability. After Buck sided with Charisma, Spade turned on Buck at the following PPV, Destruction, by knocking Buck out with a chair.
Buck gained his measure of revenge on the following PPV, when at Total Carnage, Buck won his first title in WCSF, becoming the first WCSF Middleweight Champion.
However, Buck was having increasing problems with the company. He had to divide his time between WCSF and a company he helped create, SOS. Buck earned more money at WCSF, but he preferred the crowds, co-workers, booking and in-ring freedom of SOS. Due to Buck representing SOS, WCSF wrestlers and management targeted the new company for spammings of the website, and at one point, an unprofessional shoot promo on one of their shows denouncing SOS.
Buck remained with the company until the following PPV, Annihilation on 10/11/05, where he successfully defended the title. Following the PPV, Buck parted ways with the company.
Society of Sim (2005-2008)[]
Around April 2005, Society of Sim Wrestling opened. The Buck was the first wrestler to join the company. Due to his WCSF exposure, Buck was able to attract many fans to the first few SOS shows.
SOS started small, but it quickly grew, with Buck and other wrestlers like Derek Mayfield and Zach Zero at the forefront. Buck participated in several match of the year candidates in SOS in 2005, and by July of 2005, SOS had become Buck's #1 priority in Sim Wrestling.
In November 2005, when SOS merged with New Generation Sim Wrestling, Buck joined the new company, hoping it would become as great as SOS had been. However, NGSW was ill-fated. When the company folded, Buck left to find other work in the Sim Wrestling world.
SOS re-opened in January 2006. Buck returned and had two classic matches on the first two return shows. Rebirth against Derek Mayfield and Zach Zero in a dream 3-way, and a singles match against Mayfield for the World Title at Back in Business.
Through 2006, Buck had several more shots at not only the SOS World Title, but the tag titles as well. However, despite Buck's skill and popularity, he came up short on every single bid for a title. Buck never held any championship in SOS.
In January 2008, SOS closed its doors once again. This time, it is believed that it will be gone for good. Buck said in interviews that this will be the "end of an amazing era in Sim wrestling. Sim wrestling will never be the same again".
Pain Stained to Wrestling[]
PSW was the only company in which The Buck held a World Title. He held the PSW World Title for 7 months before losing it to Y72.
UnderGround Wrestling[]
New promotion, Underground Championship Wrestling, or UCW, was announced in 2007. The previous owner of PSW, The Hawk, was running the new company. He contacted The Buck, who had previously been a main event star in PSW, and Buck was more than happy to sign on for UCW's debut show.
Due to various legal reasons, UCW was forced to change its name to simply Underground Wrestling, or UnderGround Wrestling, UGW.
UGW hosted its debut show, "The Birth of a Dynasty", on June 25th, 2007. The Buck participated in the first ever UGW match, defeating up-and-coming indy star Johnny Manowar.
Later in the show, Buck was interviewed, and claimed he was impressed with Manowar's work and wouldn't mind taking him on as a protege.
Return to WCSF (2007-2009)[]
The Buck made his long-anticipated return to WCSF on the second Wednesday Night Warzone on 10/24/07, losing to Danny Black. Buck returned on the Mayhem Roster.
Following several quality matches with Black, Buck rekindled his rivalry with former partners The Mercs. At the Destruction PPV on 12/30/07, Buck defeated Billy Spade and Tommy Davey in a handicap match.
Finally, at the Total Carnage PPV on 3/17/08, Buck defeated Billy Spade in Buck's first Steel Cage match of his career to end the feud. Buck bled more in this match than he had ever had previously in his career. Spectators claimed he reached "almost a .9 on the Muta Scale". Readers of the match claimed it was "the sickest description of gore I've read in a match". After knocking Davey and Spade off the top of the cage, Buck hit a shooting star press off the top of the cage to Spade for the pinfall victory.
On the following Mayhem episode, after WCSF changed bookers (As previous senior booker Tim retired and was replaced by ChileanDude) Buck was set to go one on one with Daz. Both men were set to be attacked and beaten down by Reaper during the match. Buck apparently didn't like this, as he compared it to a "WWE-Style burial". He said he'd do the job, but "(his) Morale in WCSF was lowered significantly".
On the day of the show, Buck's mother was admitted to the hospital, and he chose to be at her side instead of performing on the show. When he returned to WCSF days later when his mother was released, he said to WCSF management "After much soul-searching, I've decided to take an indefinite leave of absense from WCSF".
At WCSF's Annihilation 2008, Buck made a surprise return to a warm response from the crowd. Buck involved himself in a feud between former rivals and friends Daz and Josh Outland. He returned as a face, taking sides with Daz.
On the next Mayhem, Buck, along with Daz, were viciously attacked by Outland after an in-ring promo. Later in the night, Buck and Daz teamed up to face Outland and another former SOS star, Dante, in a tag match. Buck and Daz won by disqualification when Josh hit Daz with a chair.
Buck then suffered an accidental leg injury out of the ring. Two days later it was announced that he would need surgery, and would be out indefinitely. However, he remained under contract with WCSF for the duration of his rehab.
His request was granted.
Return to SOS (2009-Present)[]
On May 12th, 2009, it was announced that The Buck would be among several new and former SOS wrestlers to debut in the promotion's return.
At SOS "From The Ashes" on June 3rd, 2009, Buck faced Josh Outland and Daz in a three-way in the main event. Buck was defeated, being pinned by Outland. At the next show, "Green Legacy", Buck delivered an emotional speech in honor of deceased Japanese legend Mitsuharu Misawa. He went on later in the night to defeat Dante using a finishing move that Misawa invented, the Tiger Driver 91. His victory over Dante earned Buck a spot in the 2009 SOS World Title Tournament.
At the following show, "SOS: Suspended" on August 6th, 2009, Buck defeated Amen by disqualification when Amen chokeslammed him onto a steel chair. Amen then proceeded to hit Buck with a Thunder From Down Under onto the chair, injuring him. Buck will continue in the World Title tournament despite his back injury, and Amen was suspended indefinitely from SOS because of the incident.

Entrance Music[]
Buck used Green Day's Welcome to Paradise as his entrance music from his pro debut in 2005 until 2009, in every federation he appeared in except International Extreme Wrestling. "Welcome to Paradise" is also the name of several of Buck's finishers, each of them considered full-body submission holds.
In IXW, for his masked Koshitsune character, Buck used "Square Biz" by Teena Marie.
At SOS's "High Society 2009" event, Buck lost in his sixth consecutive SOS World Title attempt. After taking one show off, he announced he is returning with a "re-invention", to build his way back up to the title for "Lucky number seven". Part of this re-invention is new entrance music. Sim wrestling rumor sites have announced that Buck's new entrance music will be "2,000 Watts", a lesser known hit by the late Michael Jackson. The music will correspond with new attire and, like "Welcome to Paradise", "2,000 Watts" may be the new name of one of Buck's signature moves.
Face/Heel Alignment[]
Buck began his pro career as a heel in WCSF. His heel run was considered unpolished and forgettable. He later turned face, and achieved much more success in WCSF following his turn. Since his return to WCSF, Buck has remained a face, feuding with established heel Danny Black.
In his entire SOS career, Buck has been a face. Buck says, "There was always the possibility of eventually turning me heel, but I've worked so well as a face that a turn just hasn't been necessary yet".
In IOW, Buck shocked the Sim indy world at Uprising 17 by turning heel, following a swerve in which he attacked current IOW Heavyweight Champion Dante. He then aligned with established heels Josh Outland and Shinsuke, and cut a promo stating SOS was his life, and IOW destroyed SOS. He stated Dante was partly to blame, accusing him of only using SOS as a stepping stone and for the paycheck, not sharing the same love and loyalty the majority of the SOS locker room felt. He claimed IOW was to blame for all of SOS's misfortunes, and that he, and all who were loyal to SOS, would strike back at IOW, "all who suck it's dick", and "all who support it".
