The TYA Wrestling Academy is a professional wrestling school founded in 2004 by professional wrestler Trip Johnson. Johnson founded the school to assist in training aspiring wrestlers to reach their goals.
The school was named after TYA, a tag team Johnson was a part of with fellow wrestler Preston Scott. Although never officially confirmed, a rumoured name for this acronym was Talented, Young, Awesome; it's also worth noting that the school has adopted this as a slogan to encourage its students to strive to be their best.
The school welcomes students year-round, and also allows accomplished wrestlers to use the facility to train if needed. In addition to the crash course that can be taken at any time, there is also an intensive training course, lasting six weeks and running on a strict schedule.
