Stairway to Glory is a PPV formly held by Extreme Amateur Wrestling now held by Backstream Championship Wrestling. Stairway to Glory features one of the most complicated matches in wrestling history, The Stairway to Glory match. It begins with two wrestlers and every 90 seconds another superstar enters till everyone is in the match. The ladder is used to retrieve the title that hangs above the ring however cannot be used to retrieve the title till until the final participant has entered. Till then the ladder can be used as a weapon. Pinfalls and submissions are legal till the final competitor has entered and once entered it is now a ladder match.

Stairway to Glory 2004: The First Climb[]

The first Stairway to Glory was held in September since EAW was created in June. They devised up such a match that if told to any wrestling corporations they would steal the match. The main event was of course the Stairway to Glory Match that featured EAW World Champion Killer K defending against Crusher, Xander, StingRay, Alex Austin, King, Total Destruction, (XOW) General Lee and former Champion Commander D.

Stairway to Glory II: The Assend continues[]

In 2005, EAW held Stairway to Glory yet again this time in March. The Stairway match made its retain with Triple X defending against Killer K, K-Stevens, StingRay, Adam Young, James Starr, King, Crusher and Alex Austin.

In 2006, EAW was having financial troubles but that didn't stop EAW Management t put on their best PPV. This time Commander D returned to the main event defending his title against King, Killer K, K-Stevens, Alex Austin, Crusher, Zakk, StingRay, Triple X and Xander

In 2007, BCW held Stairway to Glory once against. Going into the PPV the EAW World title was still active. This caused a problem for management who decided that there would be two Stairway to Glory Matches for the EAW World Championship and the BCW World Championship.
