Jeffrey Whitt, better known by his ring name Son of Shockey, is a former American collegiate football player and professional e-wrestler, currently signed to Lords of Pain Wrestling (LPW) performing on its Insanity brand.

Shockey gained fame playing tight end for the Miami Hurricanes football team, where he led the team to two NCAA national championships, winning the Heisman Trophy in the process. He earned the nickname "Son of Shockey" due to the several likenesses with former Hurricane, Jeremy Shockey. Despite being projected as a first round draft pick in the National Football League (NFL), Shockey grew bored of football and signed with LPW to explore a professional wrestling career.

University of Miami

Whitt attended the University of Miami, where he was part of the school's long tradition of star tight ends along with Kellen Winslow II and Jeremy Shockey. After Shockey was drafted to the National Football League, Whitt took on the nickname "Son of Shockey" due to his several likenesses with Jeremy. As a Hurricane, Shockey first rose to national attention as a sophomore, catching game-winning touchdowns in clutch situations. The Hurricanes went 11–1 and won a national championship, with Shockey receiving first team All-Big East honors from the league's coaches, The Sporting News, and College Football News.

In 2006, Shockey was an integral member of the national championship Miami team. Shockey led the team with 74 receptions and had 1,240 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns (including bowl statistics). He was awarded with the Heisman Trophy, becoming the first tight end to win the award. In addition, Shockey won the Mackey Award, was named a first team All-American by CNNSI, the Associated Press, CBS Sportsline, and ABC Sports. Having reached the status of Heisman winner, national champion and All-American, Shockey was projected to be a top five pick in the NFL Draft. But in a move that lived up to his nickname, Shockey shocked everyone when he announced his decision to bypass the NFL, and explore a professional wrestling career.

Lords of Pain Wrestling

Debut and First Matches

SOS, with little build-up, made his debut on Inferno 12.2, taking on Matthew Strife in a singles match. Shockey defeated Stife with relative ease, beating him with his Light's Out submission. After the match, he and Strife were attacked by Insanity's Big B. Brown and Joe Broccoli. After this beatdown, Shockey made it known to the world that he wanted those two men's blood.

Shockey would get his chance at the following Inferno in a battle royale match. SOS would battle with Brown for most of the match. Both men would eliminate each other from the match; Brown tossed Shockey over the ropes, and Shockey, in his frustration, pulled Brown out of the ring. The two would brawl until they were broken up by Team Spectre.

First PPV Match

Shockey would make his pay-per-view debut at Repemption, in a three-way Scaffold match that included Glenn Masters and Daniel Oakley. Shockey had a decent showing, eliminating Daniel Oakley with a crucifix powerbomb off the scaffold. However, SOS would fall to Masters, who would win the match.

Inferno Gauntlet and Victory over SoL

Shockey remained quiet for some time after his first loss. His quiet led him to be left off the card of LPW's biggest PPV of the year, Altered Reality IV. However, Insanity star SoL laid out a challenge to the Inferno brand, claiming he could defeat any four Inferno members in a Gauntlet match. SOS was one of the loudest men to answer the call, and was the first man to be signed up for the match.

SOS would be the second entrant in the match, behind Kenzo Wang. Shockey and SoL would tangle in what could best be described as an all-out brawl. In the closing moments of the match, Shockey hit his patented Category 5 finisher, and defeated SoL. Shockey was rewarded one million dollars, as per stipulation of the match.

Many people dispute just how good Shockey performed in the match. Several people claimed he had gotten lucky to win, as he never dominated the match. Those critics pointed to SoL being past his prime as the key reason why the rookie SOS beat him. Shockey sings a different tune, however, saying that his win "set the tone for that entire gauntlet."

Homecoming and Move to Insanity

LPW's next pay-per-view, Homecoming, would pit SOS against fellow rookies Cash Flo and Big B. Brown in a pre-show triple-threat match. Leading up to the match, Cash and SHockey trashed one another heatedly. This would carry over into the match, as Cash would attack SOS from behind as the match started. The attack wouldn't set the Shock Jock back, as he would win the match following a springboard Category 5 on Brown; beofre hitting the move, Shockey had forced Cash out of the ring.

During the main show, Shockey was drafted from Inferno to Insanity during the first round of bulk picks. SOS was not pleased at first, wishing to have stayed on his original home of Inferno. Shockey wouldn't linger on the subject too long, though, as he turned his sights to gold.

Trans-Atlantic Snub and Sudden Death

The first Insanity after the draft would see a tourney set up to name a new Trans-Atlantic champion. Shockey was upset that he was not included in the title hunt, and would complain to anyone who would listen that he deserved to be in that hunt. He and his tag team partner that night, Black Ada, would complain to Insanity general manager Little Red about being disrespected. After back and forth banter, Red decided to play a game of musical chairs to determine the number one contender, much to the chagrin of both men. The two would work together to eliminate Villiano 187 and Lou, but in the end, the two would be eliminated by Tromboner Man and RaTo, aka the Madcore Wrestling Alliance. Upset at their loss, SOS and Ada would take out their anger on their foes that night, Kafudamaha and Super Houdini.

Ada and Shockey, impressed with the other's wrestling ability, decided to form a team. Originally going by the name the Alliance of Sin, the two would act as hotshots with a slightly evil and sinister twist. The two wouldn't work at their best, however, when Shockey had a match against Ash Strife; the match saw Ada infuriate Srife and unleash his evil alter-ego, Crazy Ash Killa, on the two men. Strife would win the match.

Soon, the duo would change their tag-team name to Sudden Death.

Arthur Miles and the Heisman

Before his match at the pay-per-view Honor Roll, Shockey was accused by former UM teammate Arthur Miles that he blackmailed and bribed his way to receive enough votes to win the Heisman. SOS publically claims that the claims are false and that he did not cheat in any such way to win the Heisman.
