Serenity Rose Hunter (born March 19, 1998), better known by her ring name Serenity Scorpio, is an American professional wrestler currently signed with Lethal Angels of Wrestling.

Early Life[]

Hunter was raised in New York City's Brooklyn borough. She is the oldest child of Angie Hunter and former professional wrestler Michael "Black Scorpio" Hunter. She has one younger sister, Lauryn. Hunter's father was African-American and her mother is of Afro-Cuban ancestry. Her father is one of only a handful of professional wrestlers to have died during a match; he suffered a heart attack while in the ring with Eddie King after King executed a Lariat incorrectly. Hunter and her sister were subsequently raised by their single mother, and she admits to having become "a problem child" for a couple of years after her father's death. It also caused her mother to initially dislike the idea of her following in her father's footsteps. Hunter also says that, during this time, she "hated wrestling as a whole".

Professional Wrestling Career[]

Early Career (2016)[]

In the fall of 2016, Hunter asked former EAW Elitist Reina Kenshin to train her; neither her mother nor Stephanie Matsuda, her father's one-time protegee and a close family friend, knew about the arrangement. When Kenshin abruptly left EAW, Hunter's mother and Matsuda discovered that she had been training and struck a deal with her that Hunter could continue training if she did so under Matsuda's supervision. Hunter was trained alongside Matsuda's one-time Sanatorium stablemate, Jocelyn Diemos. Under the name Serenity Scorpio, she wrestled for promotions across the country and participated on a short tour of Mexico at Matsuda's urging.

Elite Answers Wrestling (2016 - 2018)[]

Empire (2016; 2017)[]

Scorpio's tryout match took place prior to an episode of Empire in October 2016. She appeared again on the May 18 edition under her real name, when she was held hostage by The Coven in an effort to get Stephanie Matsuda to effectively forfeit her shot at the Specialists Championship against then-champion Brody Sparks. Aria Jaxon would eventually intervene and help them both.

War Made Wrestling (2017)[]

In December 2016, Scorpio was announced as one of the signees to the revival of EAW's one-time offshoot project, War Made Wrestling. She made her debut on the premiere January 23 broadcast. On the February 9 episode, she teamed with C&C, Inc. (Cassidy Vega & Chantal LeBeau) to face The High Society, but the match ended in a no-contest. WMW would go on to fold later that month.

NEO (2017 - 2018)[]

In the spring of 2017, it was reported that Scorpio had finally signed a developmental contract with EAW, and she reported to the Performance Center. She was eventually brought to television performing as a face.

Lethal Angels of Wrestling (2018 - present)[]

Scorpio signed with Lethal Angels of Wrestling in May 2018. She made her in-ring debut on the premiere episode of Monday Night LAW on June 4 as a face, defeating Jasmine Peyton in the opening round of the Lethal Angel Championship tournament.

Other Media[]

Scorpio was a cast member on The Plunge, an EAW Network-produced reality series that details the lives of Developmental wrestlers.

Personal Life[]

Hunter currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Outside of the ring, she is friends with Chantal LeBeau and Aria Jaxon, who she cites as her idol. She has an interest in social work and has spoken about possibly pursuing a degree in the field while wrestling. She loves animals and has a particular soft spot for dogs.
