Serena Summer Gray (born December 28, 1990), better known by her ring name Serena Summer, is an American professional wrestler and former model currently signed to World Elite Wrestling, appearing on the promotion's Adrenaline brand. Gray began training in 2010 before debuting on the Southern California independent circuit later that year.

Early life[]

Gray was born December 28, 1990 in Anaheim, California to Fletcher and Holly Gray (née Jameson). She has one older sister, Heather, who is a former Fullerton Police Officer. Gray and her sister were raised entirely in the city of Anaheim, and she would go on to attend Katella High School. Before graduating in 2008, Gray was a cheerleader and dancer. She began modeling as a senior in high school, doing print and commercial work. Her initial post-high school plans were to attend University of California, Irvine and study broadcast journalism, but she dropped out in 2010 to pursue wrestling training.

Professional Wrestling Career []

Training and Early Career (2010-2012)[]

Gray's training began in the spring of 2010 in the Orange County-based SBWA. She also trained with the staff of PWG in Los Angeles County. She has used the 'Serena Summer' name since debuting for SBWA in the fall of 2010. She bounced back and forth between the two promotions, also working shows for EWF and other promotions until late 2012, when she was contacted by WEW about signing a contract.

World Elite Wrestling/WEW (2013-present)[]

Debut; Adrenaline/Anarchy (2013–present)

Gray signed with WEW on January 4, 2013, just days after her twenty-second birthday. She was placed on the Adrenaline brand. She made her in-ring debut as a heel using the Serena Summer ring name on the January 18 edition of Adrenaline's pre-show, Anarchy, defeating Caroline. On the February 8 edition of Super Anarchy, Summer was voted into a Bra & Panties match against Mackenzie Vaughn, which she won. Summer again defeated Caroline on the March 8 episode of Adrenaline. On the March 22 episode of Adrenaline, she defeated Jesikah Maximus to earn herself a spot in the Revolver match. The following week, she defeated Shauvon and Daniella Carter in s triple threat match.

Personal life[]

Gray grew up entirely in Anaheim, California, although she now currently resides in Huntington Beach, California. Her mother is a veteran employee of the Disneyland theme park and her father was a lieutenant in the Anaheim Police Department who was killed in the line of duty when Gray was ten. Gray is a fan of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Lakers, and San Diego Chargers. Although her red hair is becoming one of her trademarks as a wrestler, Gray is actually a natural brunette, and first dyed her hair red as a junior in high school. As of March 2013, she is dating fellow WEW talent Calvin Harris.
