Serena Bertrand (née Robson; born Emily Faith Brooks; November 16, 1986), known by her stage name Serena Dent, is an retired American wrestler and stage personality. She is best known for working with such wrestling federations as ZXWWF and Ground Zero Wrestling Association. Currently, she is the commissioner of GZWA's flagship program, "Primetime".

Early Life

Emily Faith Brooks was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, where her father was on military duty at Nellis Air Force Base. Until Emily's 10th birthday she moved around Northern Europe, but her parents eventually moved from Europe and back to the States due to her father's injuries and forced retirement. There they settled down in Tampa, Florida. After finishing high school, Emily ran away from her family and moved to Manhattan, New York. She legally changed her name to Serena Robson as to hide from her abusive father and avoided any kind of contact with her relatives. Only a few months before her official wrestling debut in OVW did her older brother Derrick finally managed to contact her and rebuild a relationship.

Professional wrestling career

Ground Zero Wrestling Associaton (GZWA; 2010)

Serena made her first appearance in the company on July 23, 2010, during the first house show. Her first match was against a former rival from ZXWWF, Amiee Vaughan and the match ended in Robson's victory, which sparked the rivalry flame once again. A few days before the official debut of GZWA's show Primetime, Serena was approached by Stunray, who was also a rival of Amiee and her cousin Delta Madison, and was offered a partnership during the war against Vaughan.

Personal Life

Serena's family members are all deceased. Her mom Claire died, while giving birth to Serena. Her older brother Derrick died in 2008 after a car crash caused by a drunken driver and her father died in early 2010 after a long illness.

Robson had an on - off relationship with fellow wrestler Alex Shelley, while they were both working for ZXWWF. According to Serena, their relationship ended on a high note and there is no anger between them. At the beginning of her career in ZXWWF, Bertrand had also dated professional wrestlers Jeff Hardy and later on John Cena, which whom she even lived together for a short while. Both relationships were highly publicized and used for on-screen storylines.

Serena was married to Landon Wilson, a singer and occasional drummer in the band "Heartbreak Beloved", from January 2010. The couple had met in a "Panic! at the Disco" concert. They separated after only 6 months together, with Wilson later admitting to infidelity rumors.

In May, 2012, during a GZWA's pay-per-view, Robson announced that she is pregnant with her first child and is planning to get married for the second time. The father of the child was unknown, but was

rumoured to be Ville Valo, the frontman of the Finnish band "HIM", which was eventually denied by Robson herself.

On September 16th, 2012 Robson got married to Christopher Bertrand, the lead guitarist of the band "Tragic Heroes" in a private ceremony in New York City, New York. After marriage she took her husband's last name and became Serena Bertrand. The same week, on the 19th of September, Bertrand gave birth to a baby girl, named Alexandria Reyna Bertrand. Their second child, a son named Julian Derrick Bertrand, was born on February 3rd, 2016.

Having a part-time wrestling career, Bertrand managed to graduate from New York University, with a bachelor's degree in Art History and in 2013 graduated from The New York Academy of Arts with a master's degree in painting.

Bertrand has stated in an interview to "People" magazine that from time to time she likes playing video games and that her favorite is the "Tekken" series. Nina Williams, was stated to be her favorite character in the series and Serena's in ring personality and attire has hints of the characters personality.
