Sean would start in his senior year and would place 3rd for the Big Ten title in his weight class. In 2006, Sean would graduate Ohio State State University with a sports management degree.

Pre-Pro Wrestling (2006-2011):[]

On July of 2006, Sean would accept a head coach wrestling job with his old high school. He would coach the JV squad in the 06-07 season, the team only losing one match and four of his wrestlers making the varsity team. After that season, Sean would be chosen as the varsity coach for the 07-08 year. He would lead the team to a solid record with only three loses. They would win their conference and Sean would take three guys to states, 1 finishing in 5th, 1 finishing 4th, and 1 finishing 2nd. In the 08-09 and 09-10 seasons, Sean's team would come 2nd in the conference and Sean would only send two guys to states in the 08-09 season (1 finishing 2nd and the other 1st) and 0 in his 09-10 season. In the 10-11 season, Sean's team would win the conference again and he would send 3 guys to states (2 1st place finishers and 1 3rd place finisher). After that season, his team would encourage Sean to tryout for UCW, who would be holding a tryout in about four months. Sean would agree and would be trained by Al Norris, a freind of his father and former pro wrestler. On July 21st, 2011, Sean would outlast 14 other men and win a contract with UCW.

Then, Sean would lose in a triple threat match for the Rising Star Title, which his brother retained. Sean would then win a qualifying match for the MITB match, which he would end up winning only for the company to go bankrupt and Sean to lose his job on October 13th, 2011.

National Wrestling Alliance (2011-2012)[]

On October 20th, 2011, Sean would sign with National Wrestling Alliance alongside his brother, Tanner Sands. In his debut, Sean picked up a victory over Damian Lucifer. The week following, Sean would tag with his brother Tanner and they would become the tag team champions. They retained them the following week, by beating The Slates of Hate. In the following match he had, Sean defeated Quinton Sharpe to continue his undefeated streak to 5-0. He then won in a tag team match next, with his brother Tanner, defeating the Slates of Hate and extending his streak to 6-0. Sean retained the tag titles two weeks later against the Uprising (Ryan Omega and Chase Anderson). He retained the tag titles, for the fourth time, at Holiday Hell, and won an award for tag team of the year with his brother, Tanner.

They retained the tag titles again the following week against the Apocalypse and Sean's streak extended to 9-0. Sean was then entered in a North American title tournament the following day, in which the winner would become the new North American champion. He lost in the first round to Timothy Eric Wilson, making it his first singles loss. He then retained his tag titles the following week against Evans and Venum. They retained them again against the Skyscraperz. They were then stripped of their titles and released, but were re-hired by Chino and given their titles back, making them 2-time tag team champions and still undefeated as a tag team. They retained the titles at Wrestlefest as well.

They battled at Repercussion the following week to a no contest in a 6-man tag match. The Sands Brothers kept their tag undefeated streak alive, beating Raven and Lace. Their undefeated streak ended at the hands of Chelsea Armstrong and Summer Daize, thus earning Armstrong and Daize a shot at the tag titles. They lost the tag titles at the PPV to Armstrong and Daize and Sean was released from his contract.

He returned to action a month later and after a couple of matches, Sean Sands was released from his contract on October 21, 2012.

Halliwell would win the match, but Sands again would not be the man to submit or be pinned.

On July 6th, Sands would defeat Anton Chase to earn a spot in the Frontier Lions Cup tournament. On August 3rd, Sands would be on the losing end of a 6 man tag, but would not be the man pinned as he would be attacked by Blayze and Chaths for the second time in the show.
