Sah'ta Thor is a wrestler currently contracted to the Extreme Hardcore Wrestling Federation. He is well known for his time in Fantasy Wrestling Federation, Global Extreme Wrestling, Xtreme Vicious Intent and Phoenix Wrestling Enterprise, where he was the only PWE Grandslammer. He is the leader of the interpromotional stable The Empire of Blood.
Personality & Gimmick[]
Little is publicly known of Thor's personal life or history, including his age and nationality. Within his gimmick he has a number of supernatural powers including elemental control, teleportation, necromancy and animal empathy, and is portrayed as having various other vampiric, demonic and divine qualities. In some promotions he has appeared with fine curved horns and black wings. In promos he carries Aderes, a crystal dagger with a runed handle in a tan-colored sheath bearing a rose design, and Aysel, a blue-tinted sword made out of the metal of a meteorite, but uses neither as weapons in hardcore matches, preferring to use more traditional wrestling weapons in such circumstances. Thor is probably best known as the founder and leader of The Empire of Blood, a combined political movement and wrestling stable active in multiple promotions which uses its wrestling fame to promote a message of mutually beneficial partnerships with those around oneself and favors the forgotten and dispossessed of society.
Phoenix Wrestling Enterprise[]
Thor is one of the longest serving members of PWE, and considered one of the most well-known faces of the company, as the leader of The Bloodline - the heart of the PWE incarnation of The Empire of Blood - alongside his father Santara and children Sujir and Astryd Thorn and longtime associate Velvet Grey. In autumn 2008 he defeated Rex Butler for his first PWE title, the PWE Hardcore Championship. He went on to lose it to Azrael Eldritch, and failed to claim it in the rematch after drawing with Eldritch. However he went on to defeat Jason Carpenter for the PWE Elite Championship, PWE's top championship, a few months later. He would be dethroned two months later by Chastity Pride, who immediately gifted the championship to Sephiroth du Lac, although PWE management refused to acknowledge du Lac as the new champion and vacated the championship. Thor competed in a Hellfire House of Fun match to crown a new champion against du Lac, Eldritch, El Mundo, Johnny Gunn and Prozac, but Eldritch walked out as new champion. Thor would step down from the main-event scene for a time to focus on the PWE Ironman Championship for which he defeated du Lac and would go on to successfully retain the title in a bitter feud against John Kinder. He has subsequently gone on to feud with Scythe Bloodline. Thor later lost the belt to Ryan Trent and in the aftermath of his failed attempt to gain the PWE Tag Title at Ashes to Gold 2 Thor was named Evie Jones' new tag partner in order to prevent her from having the tag belts stripped from her, in the process making him PWE's first Grand Slam Champion. Weeks later Thor faced CN Enemy at Conquest. Thor lost this match and now rumors of Thor's leaving the PWE have caused the future of this superstar to remain unclear. It was later confirmed in a PWE press release that Thor had parted ways with the company. On the latest edition of PWE Ambition it was revealed that Thor had not in fact left the company but had rather went on vacation but due to a management change over the resulting chaos closed PWE down. In the aftermath of its closure Thor regained ownership of the Pheonix Nest and plans to one day reopen the company he helped to build.
Global Extreme Wrestling[]
Thor signed with GEW in the summer of 2007, and soon became a part of the contendership scene surrounding the reactivated GEW Omega Championship, although he would ultimately lose the final deciding match to Adam Cage, who was crowned the new champion. From there he went on to fight in the Extreme Chaos division before finding allies in Velvet Grey, James Magnum and Troy Gafgen, with the group collectively becoming another incarnation of The Empire of Blood, a stable which would later also include Baby Dogg, Zanatos and Devin Rhys. Thor and Gafgen went on to feud with The Damned, comprising Glenn Legend and Rhys Matterson, for the GEW Tag Team Championship. During this time it was revealed that Thor and Magnum were half-brothers, although since Magnum's departure from the Empire and their subsequent on going rivalry, neither has discussed this publicly in any detail. In addition to spending much of late 2008 feuding with Magnum for the latter's GEW World Heavyweight Championship, Thor was engaged in a long-running rivalry with another former ally, Gafgen, which came to a head when Thor and Dogg defeated Gafgen and Mark Chapman for the Tag Team Championship. Around this time Thor also competed in the first ever Shatterzone match, in which Chapman defeated him to retain the GEW Extreme Chaos Championship. Since then, Gafgen and Thor have reconciled somewhat. The Empire has seen something of renaissance since becoming Tag Team Champions as Dogg defeated Magnum for the Heavyweight Championship, and Thor has recently recruited former Championship Wrestling Federation stars Reaper and Cammy Carnage (despite the longstanding animosity between Carnage and Dogg from the days of CWF), and Deacon Vail. However a man identifying himself as Varian Rashad has been seen on GEW programming lately, vowing to destroy the Empire and their ideals. At GEW Open Season 2009 Thor defeated Shane Tallin and Damien Synn for the GEW International Championship, his first singles title with the company. However he was attacked at the event by Napalm, one half of the number one contenders to his Tag Team Championship, and then by the debuting Mistress Smiles, a wrestler managed by Rashad. Thor would go on to lose the International Championship back to Tallin, and at GEW Enemy Territory 2009, he and Dogg lost the Tag Team Championship to Napalm and Ripplemagne when Napalm pinned the injured Dogg.
