After purchasing GoCW, Wally 'Gatorcide' Kilpatrick redubbed the company Southern Wrestling Revival. His plans for the company included showing the world why the classic southern style of wrestling was the ultimate in style. So the entire promotion was based on a styles clash ideology.
The promotion was marked by bringing in all types of wrestling as it became available to the nation consciousness. That is until the arrival of Death Match wrestling, made popular by the Backyard Wrestling volumes. Gatorcide absolutely refused to incorporate "Garbage Wrestling" as he deemed it into his promotion.
The promotion closed in 2008.

The End of SWR[]
After the MoW tournament, Gatorcide saw a stark decline in interest in his promotion. Due to this and his personal money troubles, Gatorcide was forced to declare bankruptcy both personally and for the promotion.
