Séamus Eoghan Sullivan O'Reilly, known simply as Séamus O'Reilly (born October 15, 1988), is an Irish professional wrestler, currently wrestling in the Classic Wrestling Federation, where he has only just recently signed

Early life[]

Séamus was born in the small town of Tuam in the county of County Galway, Ireland, on Tuesday, October 15, 1988 to Irish Dad Pádraig O'Reilly and a half Irish, Half English Mother Kathryn O'Sullivan. He was given his middle name in tribute to his late great-uncle Eoghan O'Reilly, and with his parents being only engaged at the time was Christened Séamus Eoghan Sullivan-O'Reilly. Séamus was brought up for his entire life in Tuam raised by both his parents, alongside his three year younger sister Sinéad, although there were frequent family trips made to visit family in both the city of Galway, especially during the time of the Music and Arts Festival Parade, commonly known as the Macnas Parade, and to Kilcogy in County Cavan, where his fathers family lived, and even to the town of Roscrea, from where his mothers parents still remained.

Séamus was brough up watching football and wrestling. Mainly due to his best friends father being a professional wrestler. Although a fan of wrestling, Séamus did not always want to become a professional wrestler himself. He did keep himself fit as a wrestler needs to be though, he achieved this by simply going to the gym, playing football and doing boxing. Séamus' first taste of wrestling was in a backyard wrestling "organisation", which considered of a group of young males, who had got together and where headed by Séamus' best friend Patrick, they would use Patrick's fathers gym and wrestling ring to do their matches.

This however was not the typical hardcore wrestling style that is normally associated with backyard wrestling. It was more of a mixture of pro and amateur, add into that the od training sessions from Patricks dad. Séamus became quiet a good young wrestler, but this still didn't really interest Séamus as a career choice, and he choose to concentrate more on his school and college work. Once Séamus got his exams out the way he was about to start university when his friend Patrick came up to him and as a favour, asked Séamus to join him in a wrestling academy in Durham, England. The school was a four year course minimum which would teach each young person the basics of wrestling and then train them on how to act as a professional when it comes to "promos". Séamus was apprehensive at first, but was persuaded when it was known that all they would pay for is tuition to the wrestling academy, which would then put them through University at Durham, and it was this added to the knowledge that his course of Psychology was available to take. Little did Séamus know but the wrestling school he was enrolling in was owned and co-ran by professional wrestler, "The Original Showstealer" SJ Funk After passing the initial selection process, albeit it thanks to the persuasion of his friend's dad, who was also one of the four main trainers, Séamus became one of the top, hard working individuals within the FWA (Funkin' Wrestling Academy). As part of the wrestling school's programme, the students would put on small indy style shows including having their own championship belts, only two which were the Funkin' World Title and the Funkin' Tag Team Titles.

Funkin' Wrestling Academy.[]

The first piece of business each student had to do was choose a ring name they would use for their live performances (to a crowd only), Séamus choosed the name of "The Irish Curse" SOS, using his mothers maiden name as his ring name, this gave him the initials SOS, which were a play on his ring nickname of "The Irish Curse" and thus becoming SOS "The Irish Curse" Séamus O'Sullivan. It wasn't long after the beginning of the weekly shows when Séamus was approached to join up with his childhood best friend to form a tag team. Séamus agreed to partner his friend for the shows and they became known as "The Emerald Knights". It was around a month later when the team managed to capture the academy's tag team championshp title belts, using a move they called the "Emerald Fusion". The pair managed to retain the titles for roughly four months before they were to drop them. This was done in order for Séamus to move towards the FWC belt (Funkin' World Championship). Séamus managed to caputre the FWC title on his first attempt, and this feat was accomplished only by the first ever champion previous to this. As the other person was another Irishman, people put it down as the luck of the Irish. With his run of the title for the actual shows, Séamus became an instant heavyweight hit, but at the second time of asking, since his first single run didn't go smoothly at first, but his second run was a lot easier. After graduating from his standard college, Séamus was going to move to either Oxford or Cambridge university, or so he had planned when moving to England. Things didn't go to plan as they hardly do. Séamus' love for wrestling had grown much and he decided to carry on within the FWA, where his dedication was rewarded with private one to one training and advisory sessions from both SJ Funk and "The Inferno Kid" Brian Haye (the long term tag partner, and twin brother of the Academy owner SJ.) Séamus really appreciated it and done his best to go out in the training and in the shows to prove he had taken everything he was taught and used it to gain the advantage to try and work himself into the professional world. After a few more years in the Academy and now at the age of 22, Séamus, finally made the cut and graduated from the Funkin' Wrestling Academy. Although there have been a few others from the FWA that went on to do some good things in wrestling, such as "Thunder" Jason Stockley and "The Flagship Player" Dusty Davis, neither of his predecessors hold the title of a full graduate. Séamus has been given the honour of being the very first FULL Graduate from the Funkin' Wrestling Academy.

A few weeks after his graduation Séamus was approached by SJ Funk, who invited him for a tryout match at the company SJ is currently working with, the CZW (Combat Zone Wrestling.) The tryout match would be held in accordance with both the FWA and the current CZW academy, Séamus wanted to go out and do the best he could, but not to try and win a contract deal with the CZW but to prove that he was worthy of his graduation from the FWA and try and win the match in order to dedicate it to his teachers from the Academy, (SJ Funk, Brian

The tryout match was against a Japanese youngster by the name of Hayato Kinoshita, a guy that the CZW academy had produced, the match was fierce and a back and fro contest, with Séamus eventually winning the match, finishing it of with his second finishing move "The Emerald Driver". Before the match Séamus was advised by SJ, not to take the competition lightly and to concentrate more on the wrestling aspect of this match and not to interact with the crowd during the match with his gimmickly used moves that he normally used. With the advise Séamus only played to the crowd before the match during his entrance and before the start of the match when Hayato tried to use some mind game tactics.

Although Séamus didn't know it till a few days later when again approached by SJ Funk, but Séamus had impressed the representatives of the CZW management deeply, with his intensity and his unique look. SJ even reported that the CZW representatives had mentioned that they would expect the main CZW to approach Séamus with a contract, Séamus wasn't too convinced by it, and was happy to continue to train in the FWA Academy to keep intensifying his skills and to do the shows for them.

A few days after returning to the FWA Academy, Séamus got a call from one of the FWA trainers John McIllroy, that the FWA trainers/management required him to come to the offices as soon as possible. Séamus was shocked and bewildered by the call and rushed to the office of the FWA where he was met by John, SJ and a men he didn't recognise. The man introduced himself as a representative and a lawyer of Jesse Montana, the current General Manager of the CZW. The man reported that Jesse had been impressed with his match against their young star, and would like to offer Séamus a contract to sign with the CZW on an two months trial basis with the possbility of an extension. Séamus, was shocked at the news, he wasn't sure whether or not to take up the offer straight away, as his main dream was still to be a psychologist profiler to help the police force. But after a great discussion with both his parents, he decided to take up the offer, and take a break from his studying and take the chance to become a professional wrestler.

Séamus joined the CZW but not under the name used in the FWA shows, that of "SOS, The Irish Curse" Séamus O'Sullivan, and use his and his parents, surname of O'Reilly. He also decided upon the nickname of "The Celtic Warrior", thus becoming "The Celtic Warrior" Séamus O'Reilly, although his wrestling name may have changed, Séamus is still content on using the phrase that he and his best friend Patrick O'Halloran made famo

Séamus had one match in the CZW, in which he wrestled against the experienced Chino, however Chino underestimated Séamus, and gave Séamus his first professional victory. However things were not all glory, and shortly afterwards, the CZW went into some financial difficulties, and with everything going on behind the scenes, Séamus was relieved of his contract, under the circumstances that he was new to the wrestling scene, and CZW needed to retain it's current known and established superstars at the time. Some few months later, Séamus had returned to Ireland, and had frequent trips to England for a month at a time in order to keep his training going. It was his willingness that paid off, as SJ Funk again helped him to get a new start, advising the company that he was currently wrestling in, to give Séamus a try. The company was Classic Wrestling Federation
