Ryan Apollos is an English-American professional wrestler. He currently is on hiatus. Ryan Apollos is a former NLWF World Heavyweight Champion. He is the wrestler who was the reason for the Apollos Rule in NLWF.

Childhood[]

Ryan Apollos grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he had a very turbulent childhood. He was always unruly and seemed to have an anger management problem. When he was 16 years old he was arrested after getting into a bar fight with an entire biker gang, and won. It was in mandatory therapy that it was revealed that Apollos had been the subject of torture throughout elementary and middle school and that the anger had manifested itself into an alter-ego known as "Slayer." It seemed that Slayer came out when Ryan was completely tensed and when someone "pushed" him over the edge, he snaped and "Slayer" came out and took over Ryan's actions. It was after this Ryan got into Pro Wrestling to curb his anger.

MCW[]

Ryan constantly talks about MCW, where he got his first pro wrestling job. There he quickly made a name for himself. However not that much else is known about his accomplishments in MCW aside from winning the MCW World Championship from his mentor, Randy Cunning.

New Age Wrestling[]

Ryan Apollos signed a deal with NAW, an England-based wrestling company. There he made his debut on NAW's Showdown brand, in a decisive win over Kyle Mehr. Ryan quickly formed an alliance with DBD. Ryan and DBD entered into a feud with Dark Lord and his apprentice David after David struck Ryan in the back with a steel chair during a tag match involving the two teams. A week later Ryan and DBD faced Dark Lord and David, as well as TNT and Grand Pyro and Mark Pollak in a Ladder match for the NAW Tag Team Titles. In the match Apollos came up short as Ryan Welfare, one half of TNT, grabbed Apollos' feet while Welfare's partner Nightrain climbed the ladder and won the match. The next week Ryan faced David in an Extreme Rules match, where Ryan dominated David en route to a victory.

At No Remorse, DBD turned on Ryan after Dark Lord constantly told DBD that Ryan couldn't be trusted, this cost Ryan and DBD the match against Dark Lord and David. This turn of events led to a match between Ryan and Killer B, DBD had changed his name just a week after No Remorse, at Insane Mania 4. At the PPV, Ryan came up short as Killer B won using the ropes for leverage. Apollos later got his first shot at singles gold a month later at Aftermath when he challenged NAW Intergender Champion Jennifer Arnold. Apollos once again was on the losing end after Jennifer Arnold used the belt behind the refs back to score the win. A few days later Ryan got a rematch with Jennifer, but once again fell short when Jennifer got herself intentionally disqualified and instantly retired the Intergender Championship. Before the match it was revealed that Ryan had begun a romantic relationship with Tiffany, Jennifer Arnold's main rival and Jen's boyfriend's ex. The next week, Ryan competed in the quarterfinals of the Extreme Championship tournament when he faced off against Cochise in an Extreme Rules Match, during the match Ryan began showing signs of what seems to be actions that have been associated with "Slayer" when he completely decimated Cochise. In the semifinals of the tournament, at the Great British Bash, Ryan lost to his former partner, Killer B, after being DDT'd on a steel chair and what looked like injuring his neck.

After that it seemed like Ryan began to show even more signs of a deteriorating mental stability when he let his temper get the best of him, costing him yet another match the Friday after the Great British Bash. Apollos later competed in a Royal Rumble match at Vendetta, where he was the 10th entrant and was the 25th eliminated. Following Vendetta, Ryan was drafted to the company's Warzone brand and was united with his girlfriend Tiffany. After the draft, Apollos entered into a feud with RockstarAC, and by association, Stormraver over a disagreement about who was truly better. During the feud both Ryan and RockstarAC competed in a Cruiserweight Championship Elimination Chamber at All or Nothing, however RockstarAC was eliminated before Ryan entered the match and Ryan was the second to last eliminated. After that things got really heated between RockstarAC and Ryan as they both got into a major dispute over who was next in line for a title match. In the process, Ryan became engaged in a minor feud with Jason Hawk, after Ryan claimed he was better than Hawk based on the outcome of the match at All Or Nothing, Hawk was the 3rd one eliminated.

Ryan was then slated to compete in a Money in the Bank ladder match at Community Clash. Ryan failed to win as Paul Pain retrieved the briefcase first. After that Ryan was scheduled to face RockstarAC at Summer Extravaganza, but before the match could take place, RockstarAC was released and shortly after NAW closed it's doors.

Championship Wrestling Federation[]

Ryan Apollos joined CWF a short while later where he took part in the Road to Glory Tournament to determine the first CWF Champions, Apollos managed to win the CWF Xtreme Championship. He then joined forces with Corey Casey to form The Militia. Before Apollos defended the CWF Xtreme Championship against Ryan Welfare, who was the #1 contender, CWF closed it's doors, leaving Apollos a free agent again.

No Limit Championship Wrestling[]

Ryan Apollos made his NLWF debut on the September 21st edition of Revolution, he instantly made an impact when he attacked then-World Heavyweight Champion Brenton Cyrus following Cyrus' match with Rico Sutton. Apollos was stopped by Jason Hawk, who was also debuting, and The Mexican Samurai. The next week at NLWF Seven Sins, Ryan Apollos made his in-ring debut in a victory against Jason Hawk, Apollos won after Jason passed out while in Apollos' cobra clutch submission hold.

After that match, Ryan Apollos convinced Brenton Cyrus into facing him the following week on Revolution in a steel cage match. However, after accepting the challenge, Brenton Cyrus kidnapped Ryan's girlfriend, Alexis Moon, and added to the match, making it a Live or Die match, where Alexis' life was on the line. The kidnapping ignited a feud between Brenton Cyrus' group, Salvation, a group of wrestlers who believed Brenton Cyrus was their god, and Ryan Apollos' group, Lethal Injection, the NLWF version of The Militia which included wrestlers who didn't believe in Salvation. At Revolution, Apollos' match with Brenton Cyrus ended in a no contest when a confrontation between both Lethal Injection and Salvation exploded into a full blown brawl. In the midst of it all, Corey Casey turned on Ryan and Lethal Injection and joined Salvation by helping Brenton finish filling up the glass case that Alexis was locked in with cement.

Ryan Apollos, managed to save Alexis in time, but it caused the feud between Apollos and Cyrus to become personal. The two rivals were then scheduled to face each other at City of Evil, which was held at the City of Salvation, and in God's Playground, Brenton's specialty match. During the course of the month leading up to the match, Apollos had won and lost the Undisputed tag team titles with Killer B. He lost the titles to Cyrus and Casey when Killer B turned on Apollos as well. At City of Evil, Ryan Apollos defeated Brenton Cyrus, becoming one of the few to accomplish this feat. However, Apollos didn't win the World Heavyweight Championship, as it was revealed after the match that Cyrus had forfeited the title to his "apprentice" Corey Casey prior to the main event.

The next week Apollos disbanded Lethal Injection and signed a ceasefire agreement with Brenton, to end the war between L.I. and Salvation. Apollos then entered into a feud with the returning The Notorious K.I.D. At Legends of the Fall, Ryan faced KID with Ryan's Golden Crown Championship on the line. During the match Apollos intentionally got himself disqualified and NLWF GM Aaron O'Shea ordered the match restarted and added KID's No Limit Championship and Ryan's World Championship title shot. Apollos failed after KID delivered the KID Cutter through two tables.

Meanwhile, prior to the end of Ryan's feud with Cyrus, Apollos had entered into a rivalry with former Lethal Injection teammate and NLWF GM Aaron O'Shea over O'Shea's beliefs, which included his association with Brenton Cyrus. The two butted heads multiple times over the span of two months leading up to a match at Majority Rules, where the fans choose the stipulation that the winner would become NLWF GM. Earlier that night Apollos lost a rematch against KID, as he wasn't feeling up to strength. However, when it came time for his match with Aaron O'Shea, Apollos suddenly became stronger and defeated Aaron soundly. It was later revealed that Apollos had a run in with Jasper Rayne, a vampire, and had been turned into one himself.

Ryan Apollos' reign as GM wasn't long as he began to show signs of his body rejecting the vampire blood that was running through him. Apollos suddenly disappeared after a match against Corey Casey after more people who had despised Apollos attacked him and forced Apollos to be taken to the hospital, but the Ambulance never arrived as it had crashed and Apollos disappeared.

Apollos returned a few weeks later at Dangerous by Design attacking KID during his match with Corey Casey. Apollos made it obvious that he had a hitlist, which included guys like The Notorious KID and Corey Casey. Apollos had also become enraged after finding out that Corey Casey had killed his girlfriend. The loss of Alexis Moon, caused Apollos to become conflicted, his emotions had become unstable.

After his return Apollos became the first, and only, wrestler to hold the Undisputed Tag Team Chamionship by himself after being awarded the belts due to the current champions forfeiting the match. Apollos then took part in the first ever Ultimate Glory match at Ultimate Glory 2010. Apollos was the eliminated 4 to last.

Ryan then entered into a feud with Brenton Cyrus after Cyrus rejoined Salvation. However throughout the month leading up to their match at Battle Lines, Apollos was acting strange and at times emotionally uninterested in fighting back in most matches. At Battle Lines, Ryan faced Brenton Cyrus and put up somewhat of a fight but in the end lost. Ryan was then thrown through a generator by Cyrus, apparently killing Ryan Apollos in the process.

Return[]

After nearly two months, Ryan Apollos made a shocking return during what was supposedly Jason Hawk's last show due to Jason's apparent career ending injury. Apollos berated Jason and issued an open challenge, which was accepted by Jason Hawk after Hawk revealed to had been faking the injury. At King of the Throne, Apollos lost to Jason Hawk after Hawk used a taser and a double moonsault to win. Apollos challenged Hawk to another match, which Jason accepted under the condition that the match be a Hawk's Nest Match. At One World Nation, Ryan Apollos fought Jason Hawk in what was described as a war, the match ended after Apollos put Hawk's head through a glass box in the middle of the structure, and Hawk grabbed a taser that was stashed in the box and tasered Apollos before grabbing a contract to win. Apollos' feud with Hawk ended after it was revealed that Ryan was actually Jason Hawk's twin brother.

After the loss to Jason Hawk, Apollos announced the Legend Slayer Tournament to take place at Trial by Combat. At TBC, Ryan Apollos won the match after fighting TJ Tilli down to the wire in an exciting match, and then defeating Aksel Lokison in the finals to win his own tournament and a shot at the Rated [R] Championship.

Apollos eventually found out that Jason wasn't actually his brother and that his real father was NLWF Announcer Tommy Cornell.
