Career[]
Pre-Wrestling[]
Rocky Stevens is an American born wrestler who’s family was deep in wrestling history. Rocky’s father, Marc Stevens ran the local wrestling school and Michigan area wrestling show DCW Detroit Championship Wrestling. Marc’s father, worked the old carnival circuit as a strong man and wrestler hooker in the 1900s. Rocky grew up with this in his blood and ended up graduating with a scholarship in Football and Wrestling. The entire time he was in collage, Rocky was training to break into the main stream Pro Wrestling at his fathers wrestling school DCW. Stevens wore a mask so the other students didn’t know it was Marc’s son they were facing. As a student, Rocky won the DCW Michigan Championship Title, The all-round Submissions Award, The Best on the Stick Award and Face of the Year for 1984 and 1985.
Training for Greatness[]
Rocky had done all he could at DCW and wanted to further his training before trying out for the WWF or WCW. Rocky traveled to Mexico and learned to be very nimble for a man his size. And furthered his submissions training in Japan and the far east. In 1992 when Rocky was 25 he got into body building and over the next 3 years he put on 30 pounds of solid muscle. Rocky went from 6’8” and 272 lbs to 6’8” and 302 lbs and about 5 or 6 percent body fat. Rocky tried out for WCW in late 1996 and was told he was too stiff and not signed. And in early 1997 Rocky was also turned down by Vince McMahon for a contract as Vince loved his look but told Rocky he should stick to power moves and drop all the submission move and actual technique’s he’d learned over the last 10 years of wrestling. Rocky told Vince to SHOVE IT and he’d see Rocky on TV but not WCW or WWF.
Pro Wrestling Beginnings[]
Major League Federation[]
Rocky returned to DCW to keep his in-ring skills polished as his father got into the Toy biz with Stevens Toys. Rocky ran the school for several years till he had a run in with Logan Masters at LAX in LA California. Logan wanted Rocky to head up the new Wrestling organization his nephew was starting called MLF Major League Federation. Rocky met with Cain Masters and the few guys he had on the roster. ‘Big’ Mike, Ernest Bethea, Meitner, Shadow, Jamie Keidis, Nic Van Gils, Whisper and Snub Dub with the tag team The Alsations.
World Wrestling Association[]
Rocky trained some of the wrestlers for a few months till CEO Thrilla of the WcE Ver. 1, came knocking on Cain’s door and the 2 men merged and created the WWA World Wrestling Association. The WWA had some success as Rocky joined up as the ‘Head of Security’ for Thrilla. A young brash rookie was bad mouthing Thrilla’s ‘booking’ ability as Rocky was in the main event scene right away. After a World title reign and a Tag Team world title run with Keidis, Keidis turned on Stevens and took his title as Rocky was disenchanted at Jamie’s back stabbing, Rocky couldn’t concentrate in the match and lost his title. Mike Hardy came to ringside when Rocky was very distraught, and suffered a ‘Fall from Grace’ powerbomb from Stevens in anger and crippled Hardy for years to come. Rocky took Keidis betrayal hard and was leaving WWA and was their first inductee into the WWA Hall of Fame in 2004.
Elite Wrestling Alliance[]
Rocky went home and sat at home for several months confused. He was approached by eWa Elite Wrestling Alliance president Antonio DeMarco, and asked if he would come to be a road agent and booker. This got Rocky excited again about Wresting.
Masters of Wrestling[]
Later that same year Rocky had a chance meeting with wealthy businessman Paul Timmons in an Las Vegas Airport. Paul was about to be accosted by a few thugs and Rocky clocked all 3 men stopping them. Paul was impressed and asked Stevens to be HIS ‘Head of Security’ at the WcE V2. Timmons had ventured into the world of wrestling before with MoW Masters of Wrestling. It only warranted 2 men on the roster and Timmons closed the doors even before opening. But after a long talk Timmons was sure with Stevens working backstage and helping him WcE V2 would thrive and be successful. Thus the Wrestlecrazy Entertainment brand was born.
WrestleCrazy Entertainment[]
For the first several shows, Rocky had stayed away from the ring and ran security. Not until Rocky started keeping an eye on a very talented young man named Jamie Noxx. Rocky knew he had the talent to be the MAN and the natural charisma to run with it. Rocky laced up his boots and with Timmons behind him Rocky formed the WcE Elite! Noxx was WcE World Champion and Stevens made sure he stayed Champion. Stevens mostly took most of the defeats in the their tag team matches so Noxx’s loss record would stay low. A few months later Rocky had his eye on another prospect in Adam Belmont. Belmont won the Xtreme TV Championship upon his debut match. Thus the WcE Elite was born as a stable in Stevens, Noxx, Belmont and Timmons.
