Origins[]

Red Alert 1999 came about due to the storylines centering around the CWF's Commissioner, Andrew "Wraith" Coin. Coin, who hailed from England, took the CWF overseas for the first ever UK PPV. Coin was embattled in a long feud with World Heavyweight Champion Triple X throughout the spring. Coin had become the commissioner of the CWF and had been making things a living hell for his enemies on Wednesday Night Pop leading up to the event.
