Preston Scott is a retired professional wrestler.  He is the owner of the unsanctioned Preston Championship -- a title formerly known as the OWA Hardcore Championship, which he renamed and changed the rules to thanks to his association with then-OWA Owner Amelia Myers

During his career, he was one half of the successful tag team TYA, along with Trip Johnson.

Career[]

TYA[]

Main article: TYA

In January 2012, Preston formed TYA with newcomer Trip Johnson. Together, the new team defeated Craig Adams and Dwayne Cray in their debut on FBW Unbreakable. Scott competed in the FBW Equalizer for a chance to become the FBW Galaxy Champion, but was the runner-up. However earlier that night, Scott won the FBW Massacre Championship in a Tables Match.

Scott looked to redeem himself the following month at FBW Elimination Finale, competing in the Elimination Chamber Match. Again, Scott was runner-up, being defeated by TYA team-mate and new Galaxy Champion Trip Johnson. The team denied rumors that there was tension between them, and continued to wrestle in tag team competition in FBW. After a Tag Team Championship loss, however, cracks in the team began to show. During a title defense against Sweet Poison, Scott was distracted by a well-meaning Johnson, who was preventing interference. This allowed Poison to become champion, and led to Scott believing his friend had sabotaged his match. As the Galaxy Championship match between them drew closer, Scott turned on his partner, becoming heel.

At FBW Futurefest II, Trip Johnson retained the Galaxy Championship against Scott via count-out. This led to many believing that nothing had been solved between the two, and Scott berated his former friend, stating that he couldn't pin or make him submit to keep his title. At the same time, Scott became EIW Tag Team Champions with Latelle. However, the two mended fences and Johnson, who had just arrived in EIW, defeated Latelle in a match for half of the tag titles, giving TYA their first official Tag Team Championship. However, they would lose the titles two weeks later to The Detroit Heroes.

After facing each other twice over one weekend, Scott and Johnson seemed unneffected by the physical matches, and had seemingly repaired the tension within their tag team. Later that same week, TYA achieved their dream and became FBW Tag Team Champions. Even after a vicious Steel Cage Match that saw Joey Tierney win the Galaxy Championship after beating both men, they remained loyal to each other. Like many others, Scott wrestled on the Tour of Asia, which also saw the departure of Trip Johnson from FBW, ending their partnership.

Rawkstarrr[]

Preston Scott, now on his own again, set his sights on the FBW Galaxy Championship. He earned the right to compete in a Ladder Match at The Star Games, and turned heel once more in the lead up to the match. Dubbing himself a "Rawkstarrr", Scott changed his image and attitude, claiming that he no longer cared for anyone because the world had turned their back on him. Using Messiah, Scott won the Ladder Match and finally became Galaxy Champion, and thus betrayed Messiah immediately following the match.

Scott signed with Non Stop Non Promo and immediately began a feud with his former partner Trip Johnson, whom he blamed all of his misfortunes on. Firing back and forth in a war of words, the two were placed into a match together, although the company folded before it could occur.

n Online Wrestling Alliance, a company he had seen moderate success in, Scott entered the King Of The World Tournament, in which the winner would be granted a World Heavyweight Championship match at any time they choose. After defeating Joey Alderson in the semi-finals, Scott was set to meet longtime rival Trip Johnson (who had just beaten Messiah) in the final match at Stairway To Stardom III.

The event saw the shocking reunion of TYA, who had appeared to have put their ugly past behind them. They competed in a Tag Team Turmoil Match for the chance to become Tag Team Champions, but Scott revealed that it was all a plot to injure Johnson before their match later that evening. He smacked his former partner with a steel chair, allowing him to be pinned and thus eliminated. Later that night, Scott finally defeated Johnson, and was crowned King Of The World. After watching the intense match between TK Jones and his challenger Maddog Dean Diamond, Scott decided to make good on his guaranteed title shot. Scott defeated Jones in the iunscheduled match to become OWA World Heavyweight Champion, making him a double world champion.

Preston Scott officially retired as champion on September 22, 2012, vacating both of his championships.

OWA Co-Owner and Career-Ending Injury[]

On November 10, 2012, Preston Scott and Trip Johnson purchased OWA from founder Joey Tierney, who entrusted the company with the young team. Scott soon left management to join the roster as an in-ring competitor. Originally booked to face Zack Richards for the World Heavyweight Championship at All or Nothing, Scott was brutally attacked before the match by his scheduled opponent, Craig Anderson. The attack rendered Preston Scott unable to compete, and it was later revealed that he would never wrestle again following the injuries sustained in the assault.

Death(s)[]

Preston Scott has died twice. The first time, his long-time friend Trip Johnson went on a quest for the Dragon Balls and Scott's life was restored with The Eternal Dragon's power. However, in December 2012, Scott died once again. With the help of the Namekian Dragon Balls, he was resurrected once again.

Return to OWA[]

Scott returned to OWA shockingly, after being told he would never wrestle again. He defeated Matt Young with ease at a live event, and was named one of two challengers to Craig Anderson's World Heavyweight Championship at Effigy. Scott also competed in an Open Ladder Match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship at the event, but failed to win the title. In the main event Three Way Dance, Scott eliminated Joey Tierney, but was defeated by Anderson.

Scott no-showed a scheduled match with European Champion Jamo, before arriving drunk at the event. He almost came to blows with Owner Trip Johnson before Amelia Johnson separated them and had Scott removed by security.

Continuing his feud with Tierney, Scott was revealed as the #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Title at Amicable Treason. He was the referee in a match between Tierney and Latelle, of which he showed no interest in participating. He was knocked out by Tierney and forced to count the pin after two refusals and a degrading slap. He wrestled the title match drunk at Amicable Treason, and was quickly defeated. He was fired after the show by Trip Johnson.

Scott made a shocking return several weeks later, revealing that a clause in his contract prevented his termination until its expiration on January 1, 2014. After abusing this new power to his advantage, he was made to face Trip Johnson at Chained, with his contract and Johnson's OWA Ownership contract at stake. Johnson won the match, but it was later revealed after a post-match assault that Scott had been having an affair with the owner's wife Amelia.

Using his new-found power, Scott instantly began abusing it - putting his enemies in grueling matches, and even giving himself a World Heavyweight Championship match. Scott was defeated due to outside interference at the hands of Sudden Impact, mainly Alex Johnson, with whom he began a feud with. Scott and Johnson will face each other in a match at Redemption.
