Premium Women's Wrestling was an e-federation that was created on June 26, 2011 as a result of Baker-Money Ryder Productions (a production company owned by legendary professional wrestler James Baker and wrestling/stock market mogul Terrell Ryder) buying all the rights of PCW, YCW and ICW from Shannon Saint. The first SNK show produced under the PWW banner aired on July 3, 2011 from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. On January 23, 2012. The company came to an end.
History[]
With the news that Premium Championship Wrestling was coming to a close after Cataclysm, nobody backstage knew the future of everything, except three people... Shannon Saint, Terrell Ryder and James Baker. Shannon was going to wait until the final episode of Rapture to break the news to everybody. He did so at the end of the program after Sickboy defeated Mariano Fernandez in what was a grueling and exciting contest (a normal occurrence in PCW). Shannon announced that PCW was closing and he sold everything concerning the company to Baker and Ryder due to him saying that he was going to be paying his debt to society (more likely meaning he is going to jail very soon).
The big day came and Jane Isis came out to the stage. Alongside her was The Black Rose Mafia and Damon Warrens, taking out the Jobbers for Hire at the top of Cataclysm. From there, Jane announced that SNK was continuing as a company called Premium Women's Wrestling. Within the first week of the company's existence, many womens wrestlers from around the world signed contracts with the upstart promotion. From experienced wrestlers to recent graduates from wrestling schools (such as Da Xtreme Wrestling Academy). The company grew so big that on the fifth edition of Sunday Night Knockout (aired on September 18, 2011), they decided to add a second show called Saturday Night Bombshell which debuted it's premier episode on October 29, 2011.
It also should be noted that PWW consisted one of, if not the youngest roster in professional wrestling. The only wrestlers over 30 years old are Gina Rogers of the Battering Bitches (31 years old), and Terra and Lillith of CHAOS (both 31 and 37 respectably). Everybody else was under 30 years old with Ashlen being the youngest on the roster at just 17 years of age. Danielle Lopez (23 years old), Heather Monroe (21 years old) and Talia Skye (24 years old) are the more notable and successful womens wrestlers under the age of 25.
During its time, the company formed a Power 10 concept to determine just who are the best wrestlers PWW has to offer. This is one of many new concepts PWW is trying to employ to make the promotion as different as possible. The Power 10 concept later expanded to a Top 20 rankings after the addition of PWW: Bombshell as a second show for the company, and that started at Eve of Destruction. That same concept was eventually used in Premium Championship Wrestling's second run under the name Premium Five. The company's closure came on January 23rd, 2012. No reason as to why it was closed down, was ever made.
