The PCW World Tag Team Championship was a professional wrestling tag team championship for Premium Championship Wrestling. The final champions are The Princesses of Lethality who defeated Reyna Carter and Angelina Williams of Mi Pi Sexy at Anarchy. The first ever champions were Da Xtreme Dynasty who won them on the first ever edition of Thursday Night Rapture.

History

As YCW and ICW merged to form PCW, a match to crown the first champions was to take place on the first ever edition of Rapture. The ICW World Tag Team Champions Air and Wayne Morley to take on the YCW World Tag Team Champions Kevin Styles and J.T. Banks of Da Xtreme Dynasty.

The road to this match had some turns. Morley and Air were the first ever champions when they defeated Max Burnz and BurnOut at ICW Slamathon while Styles and Banks becamse the champions when they defeated Team Baller, The Dark Scorpions and The Lopez Dynasty at Battle Finale due to unwanted interference from two masked men (who later was identified as the Arbiters of Truth and Virtue, eventual rivals of Da Xtreme Dynasty).

When the match came about. The world found out that Air could not compete because he refused to sign a contract with PCW. So before the bell rang, it was turned into a handicap match that pitted Morley against both DXD members. Da Xtreme Dynasty dominated Morley from the get-go and they eventually proved to be victorious. Ever since then, Styles and Banks have been as dominant as they ever have been as they have turned back challenger after challenger. Currently they hold the record for six title defenses, all which have been successful. Styles and Banks were stripped of the championships by Shannon Saint after they along with James Baker were putting a major beating on Jerry Static, which was deserved.

On March 5th, live at Blackout from Stockholm, Sweden. Generation Next members Aaron and Nathan Warrens defeated DNA's Remi Lebau and Logan in a Warzone match to become the second ever PCW World Tag Team Champions. At Cataclysm, known as the final PCW event. The titles were held up after Nathan Warrens couldn't compete due to injury. James Baker and Damon Warrens took their place, but it wasn't enough as Monroe and Mackenzie defeated them to become the final champions after Baker suffered a severe injury (it was later to be revealed of a torn ACL, MCL and PCL).

On April 27th, Premium Championship Wrestling announced that it was returning for a second run, but it was unknown if the tag team championships would be brought back or not. One month later on May 30th, 2012, after much speculation and rumors... the titles were to be brought back with a tournament that is scheduled to start after Slamathon III. It is unknown on how many teams will participate in the thing, but James Baker did state that even teams outside of the federation are more than welcome to compete.
