The PCW Platinum Championship was a secondary championship for Premium Championship Wrestling. The final champion is  Brian Stryker who defeated Jay Thunder at Anarchy. The first ever champion is "Mr. Intensity" Kerry Collins, who won it by beating Israel Steele at Battle Finale and reigned with the belt for 103 days. Michael Morrison and Draven Logan Kennedy have the most reigns as Platinum Champion, both men being the champion on two separate occasions. Upon Shannon Saint purchasing ICW and YCW to form PCW, he decided to recognize Collins as the first ever holder of the belt. "The Evangelist" Jerry Matthews is the longest reigning champion at 196 days.

History[]

The PCW Platinum Championship was created in YCW. When YCW was still up and running, they held a mini-tournament to crown the first ever champion. In the tournament, Kerry Collins defeated Danielle Lopez while Israel Steele defeated Leon Lonewolf. At Battle Finale, Collins and Steele battled it out with Collins gaining the victory over Steele in a wild match that included appearances from Israel's brother Paul Blair, Chemical X and a mysterious figure (later to be revealed as Mariano Fernandez).

During the majority of Collins reign, the championship was defended on television. Stars such as Steele, Sickboy, Lee Poison and others got a shot. It's first pay-per-view defense occurred at Alma Mater Diem when Sickboy defeated Collins to become champion. AMD was known as the event where the Youth Movement began and a select number of aging veterans were kicked out of PCW.

Since the championships inception, there have been eight champions. Eleven championship defenses were made on pay-per-view, with Michael Morrison having three of those defenses.
