OWA Hardcore Havoc (2018) was a professional wrestling major event produced by OWA featuring wrestlers from its roster. It took place on May 13, 2018 from the Viejas Arenas in San Diego, California. This marked the company's first ever televised pay-per-view.
Background[]
The card will consist of matches which resulted from scripted storylines and had results predetermined by OWA on their flagship show, Kingdom. Storylines between the characters were produced on the weekly show.
On the very first episode of Kingdom, four qualifying matches took place where the winners would enter a Four Corners Elimination match for the vacant OWA World Championship in the main event of Hardcore Havoc. Jon McAdams defeated both Michael Bishop and Miltiades in a Triple Threat match to qualify early on in the night. Finnegan Wakefield would go on to defeat Carson Ramsay in a quick match to qualify a bit later on. Keelan Callihan would defeat Caspian to advance and Chase Vedder would defeat CM Nas in the main event to be the final man to enter the match.
OWA General Manager Vernon Tressler announced an 8-woman tournament to determine the first ever OWA Women's Champion on Kingdom I. The participants were Aria Jaxon, Savannah Sunshine, HENDRIX, Madison Kaline, Jessica Rose, Candice Blair, Megan Harper and Tarah Nova. The tournament took place over the next several weeks pitting some of the up-and-comers to wrestling against more of the veterans. The favourites to win the tournament began to see defeat early on. In the semi-finals, HENDRIX would defeat Savannah Sunshine and Jessica Rose would defeat Megan Harper to advance to the championship match at Hardcore Havoc.
After making a shocking appearance at Kingdom I, Kenny Drake made his intentions clear that he would rid Omega Wrestling Alliance and the roster of its sin. The following week during the main event of Kingdom II, Drake interrupted and attacked Tarah Nova and cost her the match confirming that she would be his first target. A week later, Kenny Drake had his first in-ring match since January 2017 against Scotty Adams which resulted in a loss after Tarah Nova sent a box with a severed wolf's head inside of it to distract him. After an exchange of words following the match, the two agreed on a Barbed Wire Ropes Deathmatch for Hardcore Havoc.
