OWA Fusion (formerly OWA Sacrifice) was the weekly show presented by Online Wrestling Alliance.

History[]

OWA Fusion began when the company purchased Future Bebo Wrestling. Initially planning to make the new acquisition a second OWA brand, Joey Tierney instead combined Sacrifice and FBW to create a ground-breaking new show the likes of which had never been seen before on the Bebo Wrestling Network.

The first episode of the show saw history made from the opening minute, as Pot of Gold holder Zack Richards found a legal loophole in his guaranteed title shot opportunity, and as a result, named himself Galaxy Champion. The main event featured a match between Paul Benzema and Trip Johnson, in which Benzema was victorious. After the match, both men were ambushed by Richards as they shook hands.

The following week, Benzema and Johnson teamed to face Richards and his bodyguard, Julio Zapien. The match ended with Johnson hitting The Power Trip on Zapien. The feud continued to escalate in the coming weeks, eventually settling with Paul Benzema being named #1 Contender, after he defeated Craig Adams. A match was set up between Richards and Benzema at OWA Ramifications (2012), which would see Benzema become Galaxy Champion, but was also the night Zack Richards would become OWA World Heavyweight Champion.

As money became tight with the change in management, the company was reduced to taking place in the Kentucky Fried Chicken 11 Holds & Spices Arena - an arena new co-owners Trip Johnson and Preston Scott had built for their training. Facing constant technical problems, the network threatened to cancel the show - however, the fan backlash from the announcement eventually made them reconsider.

Funding improved and as the company found its feet, former commentator Kara Hills was brought in to fill the void. Johnson, now the sole owner of the company, continued to run the show from behind the scenes as Preston Scott returned to active competition, making his presence known when he attacked The Militia at the end of a Fusion broadcast.

Fusion was dropped by the company in favor of the live events that the federation began hosting in 2013.
