New Edge Wrestling (NEW) is a professional e-wrestling promotion opened in 2009 by Frankie Madderson under the G-Fed Wrestling Network. Following his unfortunate departure from the federation, Jesse Styles gained rights over the operations of NEW. Disputing the direction of the network, Styles had the federation separated from the corporate organization, a move in which led to its extraordinary uprising.

History[]

Formation Under Frankie Madderson[]

The regaled ascendancy of New Edge Wrestling began in 2009 under the maintenance of the then glorified G-Fed Wrestling Network, controlled in its early stages by Frankie Madderson, who collaborated with the network executives to bring upon a fresh product that differentiated from the "stale productions" that the other federations under the global banner had to offer.

Unfortunately, plans did not follow through accordingly in the early going for Madderson, as he had suffered unto a brutal attack which left him hospitalized and forced his Presidential position to be reprimanded. According to the Network executives and New Edge Wrestling committee, it was hereby declared that whoever possessed the NEW World Heavyweight Championship was granted their rightful say on who the company president would be.

Shuffle in Presidential Power[]

At the promotion's first PPV, Justice, the wheels of power began to turn when Shale Stevens became the first ever NEW World Heavyweight Champion after defeating Plague in a Crucifixion Match. With Frankie Madderson sidelined from performing usual business, the Presidential candidacy was put into disarray with the weekly changes of the World Championship.

Jesse Styles, who had won a number one contender's Battle Royal at Justice, was the next competitor to harness the World Championship, defeating Shale Stevens on Ignite. This was followed by Plague, rectifying his loss at Justice by defeating Jesse Styles the next week after, but his evil reign was short-lived when Frankie Madderson returned to power, stripping Plague of the coveted championship and postponing its acquisition until the next PPV, Blood, Sweat And Summer.

Throughout this time, Michael Allen had taken precedence of the proceedings in the company during Madderson's absence, the two hierarchical leaders battling for supremacy across two brands, Ignite - which would become NEW's flagship show and - WAR. Eventually, Allen was eradicated of his position and the full percentage of the power went to the acting owner of the promotion.

Jesse Styles Era[]

NEW experienced a drastic change in the forthcoming months. Inexplicably, Madderson stepped down from ownership giving his company over to Jesse Styles and vanished into obscurity. Styles, who accomplished reigns as a Tag Team Champion and two-time World Heavyweight Champion, accepted the ownership, guiding the organization to new heights it had never reached or surpassed before.

The company excelled since those troubling and quizzical times. Styles governed the company he has owned for nearly two years with able staff members and productive employees, one of which happened to be Xavier Xannon Xanders (or Triple X), who Jesse Styles brought in to serve as an assistant director. People questioned this critical decision since Triple X was a corrupt force in wrestling, but Jesse insisted he was right for the job, having known Triple X and teamed with him across a few other promotions under the G-Fed Wrestling Network.

Going through a great phase, despite losing valuable assets and acquiring talent and sponsorship deals that ceased to meet their expectations or positive longevity, bitterness and drama unfolded during the summer of 2010 for NEW.

Separation from G-Fed Wrestling Network[]

Styles had started to grow dissatisfied with the direction of the G-Fed Wrestling Network and their latest corporate executives, who sternly moderated every individual federation with an iron fist, complaining that they prohibited NEW the freedom to explore other dynamics and renege upon worthwhile profits. It reached the point where the Network threatened to shut down the company if they didn't abide by their instructions, causing an irritated styles to terminate his contract from the services of the Network.

Having garnered sufficient funding through their years of selling merchandise, ticket sales, buy-rates and sponsorship qualities, NEW had enough to afford their own independent license and television broadcasting, furthered by the expenses of Triple X and a few other managerial members of the organization. Among that, now with the ability to operate freely again, liberated from the clutches of a Network that had diminished in popularity and creativeness over the past several months, Styles started a new chapter and venture by formulating a brand split that would change the company and guide them onwards.

Collision[]

Collision became the secondary brand that was later organized and controlled by Adrien Specter. Jake Slade was granted the Collision World Heavyweight Championship to help ascend the brand but also to clear him of his number one contender deal. Roger Wright also found himself becoming the Ignite World Heavyweight Champion after the original championship was taken out of service with Ignite and Collision dueling on a weekly basis to see who could generate the biggest fan base and ratings. Ignite steadily kept ahead of Collision as developments occurred through the company, eventually with NEW having to contest against an invading federation known as the IXW.

IXW Invasion[]

Managed by Josh Manhunt, IXW came into NEW expecting to take over and reevaluate their assortment of talent, but the implications of such a dream did not bode well for the brash owner. Their wrestler were defeated going up against NEW's oster. Soon enough, at Kamikaze, Jesse Styles and Lucas McCann would team together to destroy the remnants of IXW, clearing them from existence which left the team of Domestik Disturbance, Johnny Stylez and Hunter Valentyne to deal with the obnoxious Manhunt.

After an abysmal start with a hopeful third brand known as Uprising which had the predictability of failing early due to the exploits of their two directors, NEW found itself on the brink of a moment that would go down in company history as a true lesson in manipulation and hidden agendas.

The Business & End of Collision[]

In December 2010 at the Vodka and Violence PPV, the main event featured a Triple Threat Tag Team match that had the NEW World Tag Team Championships on the line. In the first swerve during this historic bout, Matt Slater was betrayed by his own partner Roger Wright, who had faked his hatred for the team known as Domestik Disturbance for the past few weeks. To execute this, Wright hit his partner with a shovel and joined who was thought to be his enemies. Then later on, during a clear handicap situation, Ryan Pugh shocked the world by turning his back on his longstanding partner and one of his best friends, Inkt, hitting him with a shovel also, before allowing Johnny Stylez to take the cover and steal the Tag Team Championships.

The Business it seemed, had risen to power from the ashes of a faction people thought was dead and gone, now becoming a group containing the five individuals who aided the company in its time of need, which included the NEW Owner, Jesse Styles. Jesse Styles, Ryan Pugh, Johnny Stylez, Hunter Valentyne and Roger Wright would continue to dominate the ranks for several months, causing many wrestlers to merge their own factions to oppose this force of nature that was beginning to suffocate the organization's codes of conduct and ruling of fairness.

During such time, the Collision brand started to awfully suffer in consequence. Adrien Specter stressed in his role as President of the brand after being given an ultimatum from Jesse Styles to mend the sinking ship. Unable to help the doomed brand, Collision was mercifully shut down, and the wrestlers who were loyal to that brand being transferred back over to Ignite, which holds up as the main, singular show to this day.

In 2011 stables began competing dominance and for quality perseverance. The New Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship was formed after the Ignite and Collision championships were merged at Justice 3 in a brutal Terrordome match which Triple X won by the assist of his Dark Horse Society stable ally and tag team partner Matt Slater, helping him capture the gold unknowingly after taking Johnny Stylez out of the equation.

Merging with PCW[]

In mid-2011 with over 60 wrestlers on the roster, NEW went into partnership with the recently resurrected Pugh Championship Wrestling. The roster would be split in two with both federations getting 30 picks.

The last unified event saw Johnny Stylez defeat Ryan Pugh to become the first ever two-time NEW Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. Other matches at Cold Front included Al Envy defeating Roger Wright in a Terradome match, Aaron Abraham defeating Matt Slater to win the Golden Briefcase and Ophelia Pain retaining her Youngblood championship against Judas Dathan. After Cold Front, the two federations would split with the draft pick coming into place. PCW would be run by Ryan Pugh and Jesse Styles remained the owner of NEW.

The NEW/PCW split would last six months with the likes of Aaron Abraham and Judas Dathan battling it out for the NEW Undisputed Championship. Meanwhile, PCW would focus on tag team and hardcore wrestling, with Tommy Kain and L.A. Kief, Femme Fatales and Wrestlingz Most Wanted all winning the PCW Tag Team championship in a thriving division. Apathy also went onto to become the first female PCW World Champion.

EV2 and UPW[]

Jesse Styles would temporarily step down from running New Edge Wrestling with Roger Wright taking over the reigns. With roster numbers dwindling, NEW and PCW would merge and the federation would be renamed EV2. Unhappy with the renaming of NEW, Jesse Styles would return from his hiatus and reform NEW, going under the slogan of “The Rebirth” with some of the former NEW wrestlers.

EV2 would struggle to get going and the federation would close with the majority of the wrestlers moving to XXX’s UPW. UPW and NEW Rebirth would run simultaneously with Alexander Koresh becoming the UPW world champion and Venessa winning a battle royal for the newly created NEW Ignite Championship. After an agreement between XXX and Jesse Styles, NEW Rebirth would close and Jesse Styles would become co-owner of UPW. UPW would thrive and enjoy critical acclaim and would be commended for it’s entertainment value.

Fedwars Era[]

In April 2012, XXX stepped down as co-owner of UPW and the decision was made to close the federation and restart once more as New Edge Wrestling on the Fedwars network.

Former UPW President, Matt Slater decided to take over UPW but his efforts were thwarted and he instead formed Ascension Championship Wrestling. The majority of wrestlers joined NEW, with some choosing ACW and others choosing both.

XXX would regain the reinstated NEW World Championship at Justice after winning the Terradome match. After XXX stepped down to take a corporate role, he was succeeded by Shane Sparx who defeated Valora at Cold Front.

Jesse Styles was caught in a police sting on Pedo Trap Live and was forced to step down due to legal issues. Many are claiming Jesse was set up and that the truth will come out.
