New ERA RAPTURE was the secondary television show of New ERA of Wrestling. It featured 5 matches per show. Due to the fact that RAPTURE ran on non-cable television channels, it did not have a set weekly schedule, nor did it have a set runtime. RAPTURE, being a secondary television show, also did not always occur in the same cycle as New ERA RAUCOUS.
After the merger between New ERA of Wrestling and World's Finest Wrestling to create the WFW:NE, RAPTURE was replaced as the promotion's secondary show with WFW:NE Almost Live.
However, with the closure of WFW:NE after WFW's departure from the merger, New ERA officials officially resurrected the show to replace Almost Live. New episodes were expected to begin in mid-late 2010, however due to the pulling of funds by EC Enterprises and the resulting court case, it took nearly 5 months for New ERA's future to be settled. The result of the court case reaffirmed EC Enterprises intent to pull funding and New ERA of Wrestling was officially closed on September 25, 2010.
When the league announced its smaller-scale return on December 24, 2010, RAPTURE remained on the shelf in favor of New ERA Cyberstrike.
