NIWA Clash of the Titans is biggest event of the year for the National Internet Wrestling Alliance. It is comparable to World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania and Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling's Bound For Glory.

History[]

2000s[]

The inaugural event was held on April 29, 2009 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. This event featured a total of nine matches. With the four title matches on the event, three of the four titles switched hands with Xena, Warrior Princess becoming the new NIWA World Women's Champion, Blitz became the new NIWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion, and Chuck Norris became the new NIWA World Heavyweight Champion. The Warios retained the NIWA World Tag Team Championship.

The NIWA would follow the mold of many promotions and have their own Money in the Bank match. Instead of having a normal Money in the Bank match, they decided to call it a Money in the Bank Dragon match in which the ring ropes were removed and barbwire was used as the ropes instead.

2010s[]

2010 would have been the year Clash of the Titans II took place, but due to NIWA being on a second hiatus, Clash of the Titans II was postponed till 2011.

Clash of the Titans II was held on April 29, 2011 at the Safeco Field at Seattle, WA. This event featured a total of eight matches. With the four title matches on the event, two of the four titles switched hands with Xena, Warrior Princess becoming the new NIWA World Women's Champion, "Mr. Wrestlemania" JTH became the new NIWA World Heavyweight Champion, and Ganondorf became the new NIWA World Heavyweight Champion by cashing in his Money in the Dragon Bank briefcase.

Clash of the Titans III was held on May 4, 2012 at the Ford Field in Detroit, MI. The event featured a total of eight matches. With the five title matches on the event, two of the five titles switched hands with Zangief becoming the new NIWA Brass Knuckles Champion and Shadow the Hedgehog became the new NIWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Clash of the Titans IV was held on May 3, 2013 at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO. The event featured a total of ten matches. With the five title matches on the event, only one of the five titles switched hands with EMW's Matt Hazard becoming the new NIWA Venue Champion in a Six Pack Challenge by pinning Agent J.

Clash of the Titans V was held on May 9, 2014 at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX. The event featured a total of ten matches. With the four title matches on the event, two of the four titles switched hands with "Las Vegas" Link & Spider-Man winning the NIWA/EMW Unified Tag Team Championship in a Four Corners Tag Match and Johnny Gat winning the EMW World Heavyweight Championship thus ending the dark reign of Chad Johnson. Plus, the event marked Chuck Norris' final match in NIWA and the end of an era.
