Debut (1987–1988)[]
Page joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in July 1987. On the September 26 episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling, vignettes began airing on WWF television, featuring Page (now under the ring name Lee Page) as a wealthy, cocky, and arrogant athlete from Beverly Hills. Page would make his televised WWF in-ring debut on the December 13 episode of Wrestling Challenge, where he defeated jobber Steve Lombardi. He would then spend the next few months defeating jobbers, beginning an undefeated streak that continued lasted throughout 1988.
On the April 25, 1988 episode of Prime Time Wrestling, Bobby Heenan announced that Page was the newest member of the Heenan Family. Page's first big feud was with Heenan's former client Hiro Tanaka (their previous rivalry in Tennessee was not aknowledged on WWF programming until 2005), after attacking Tanaka during his match against Hercules on the May 7 episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling. Their feud quickly became heated following the July 2 episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling, when Page attempted to flirt with glam metal singer-musician (and future wife), Teresa, at ringside. However, after she rejected his advances and revealed she is in fact; Tanaka's daughter, Page and Heenan proceeded to insult her, causing Tanaka to attack Heenan on the July 4 episode of Prime Time Wrestling. Page and Tanaka would finally face off at SummerSlam, which Page won by disqualification after Tanaka sprayed green mist into his eyes, they had a rematch on the October 29 episode (taped October 25) of Saturday Night's Main Event, which ended in a double count-out after neither man could enter the ring before the 10-count. They would face off one more time in a No Holds Barred match at the inaugural Royal Rumble event on January 15, 1989, which Page lost to end their feud.

Personal life[]
Page married his childhood sweethart Bobbi-Jo Crowder in 1977, they had one daughter, Emmalee Abigail Page (born August 23, 1982), before divorcing in 1984. Page married his second wife Roxie Huntington in 1986, they divorced in 2000.
In 1988, Page met singer and fellow professional wrestler Teresa, who was the daughter of his long-time wrestling rival Hiro Tanaka, at a WWF event, and the two quickly became close friends. They began an extramarital affair in 1997 during their time in WCW, while they were still married to their spouses. The affair became public knowledge in 1999, after a stolen sex tape made by Page and Tanaka on Christmas Day 1997 was leaked to the internet. Both Page and Tanaka filed a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment, who distributed the film. They later dropped the suit and settled for an undisclosed amount, allowing Vivid to release the tape. Page and Tanaka became engaged on Valentine's Day in 2001, after divorcing from their spouses less than a year prior. They were married in Hendersonville, Tennessee, on March 2, 2003; on Tanaka's 43rd birthday. They have two daughters: Hikari Claire Page (born February 12, 2000) and Ruby Marie Page (born September 28, 2005).
Despite being kayfabe rivals on-screen, Page was close friends with Hiro Tanaka outside of the ring, Page became Tanaka's son-in-law following his marrage to Teresa.
