The Lock Wrestling Federation (LWF) Tag Team Championship is a championship in the Lock Wrestling Federation.
History[]
The start of the company[]
In April 2001, Lock created the Lock Wrestling Federation. On May 20, at the Resurrection Pay-Per-View, the Ghetto Boyz defeated the team of Badass Bob and CoolJ to become the first champions.
Over the next several years, the title would be held by such legendary teams as The Puppet Masters, Fire and Ice, the People's Alliance, and Freak Show Central.
Unification with UWF Tag Titles[]
In July 2003, a rival federation known a United Wrestling Fusion (UWF) invaded LWF at the Revolution Pay-Per-View, but it was later revealed that Lock had in fact signed all its members to contracts, and they had brought their titles with them. In August 2003 at Meltdown the LWF and UWF Tag Titles were unified when the DWO defeated the Metal Militia.
Title Vacated[]
After the Maximum Carnage PPV broadcast in February 2005, LWF went on hiatus and the title was vacated. The champions at the time were Violent Intentions.
LWF Returns[]
LWF reopened on December 3, 2007. At the Renewal Pay-Per-View event on December 23, the vacant Tag Team Title was won in an Elimination Table Match when the Lord of Pain defeated the Metal Militia.
Current champions[]
The LWF Tag Team Title is currently held by The Brick City Boyz, who defeated the Metal Militia in a Maniacal Multiple Massacre Match on an episode of Warzone.
