The Lock Wrestling Federation (LWF) Sponsor's Championship is a specialty championship in the Lock Wrestling Federation.
The holder of this championship is allowed to use it as a vehicle to promote a product that sponsors him. This championship does not follow divisional rules that other titles do and anybody can challenge for it at any time, provided they have a sponsor.
History[]
Creation of the Championship[]
On December 31, 2007, on an episode of Warzone, while being interviewed by Grey Coppi, CoolJ declared himself the Gold Bond Champion, and began making Coppi follow him around while carrying the championship, which was actually the retired Technical Title that CoolJ still possessed, with medicated Gold Bond powder sprinkled on top of it. On March 3, 2008, Lock retroactively acknowledged the reign.
Changing Hands[]
At Revolution, the title changed hands for the first time when Jake White defeated CoolJ to win the title. He subsequently renamed the title the Shell/Pennzoil Championship, and would soon thereafter change his own name to Chance Chesney as part of a re-branding effort.
Subsequent champions would also renamed the title, reflecting their own sponsorships.
