James Omari Morgan Sr. (June 1, 1944) is an American professional wrestling promoter. Morgan Sr. is Owner and COO of Championship Wrestling From Florida.
After completing several terms as an U.S. Senator Morgan Sr. decided to enter the entertainment industry.
Early life[]
Morgan was born on June 1, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee. Morgan's father, Omari Morgan, left before the birth of James, taking his elder son Rodney, with him. Morgan did not meet his father until age 12. James spent the majority of his childhood living with his mother and a string of stepfathers. According to an interview with GQ, he attended and graduated, in 1962, from Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tennessee.

Morgan married Cissie Morgan ('nee Benson) on August 26, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. The two met in church when Cissie was 14 and James was 18. They were introduced by James' mother, Othella H. Lupton (now Othella H. Walters). The marriage ended in divorce in 1972 after only 10 years of marriage. James married again three years later in 1975 to Jennifer Morgan ('nee Daniels) They have three children, James Jr. and Daniel, and Gabrielle all of whom have spent time in the CWF behind the scenes.
