The JET World Championship is a professional wrestling world championship in Joshi Extreme Takeover. It was created in April of 2006 to become the company's one and only main event level title. The current champion is KAGUYA who in her first reign as champ.

Origins[]

In April of 2006, JET was in need of a world championship and thus commissioned by the JET-Board of Directors, the JET World Championship. A tournament was announced to crown the first champion and on May 14, 2006, at JET Beautiful Spring event, Miss Manami defeated Hanako Nakamoto to become the first JET World Champion.

Reigns[]

The inaugural champion would be Miss Manami who defeated Hanako Nakamoto at JET Beautiful Spring 2006 to be crowned the first champion. There have been sixteen (16) different champions, with Nina Sanada holding the title a record five times and counting. Sanada also holds the record for longest reign with the title for a historic 418 days from August 13, 2006, to November 5, 2007. The record for shortest reign goes to Azumi Goto who held the title for just 20 hours as she won the title on the day her original contract with JET expired. The current champion is KAGUYA who in her first reign as champ. She won the championship at JET Kyoto Spotlight where she defeated former champion Nina Sanada.
