Professional Wrestling Career[]
Elite Class Championship Wrestling (2002 - 2006)[]
Singles Run, Championship Reigns and Feud with Kevin Styles and Phillip Mustang[]
J.T. Banks was one of many up and coming wrestlers that Jack Conway signed to compete for Elite Class Championship Wrestling. On the first ever episode of WarZone, Banks became the first ever ECCW Hardcore Champion and also establishing himself as a heel. However seven days later on WarZone, Banks lost the title to Kevin Styles and in the process started a rivalry with Styles as well.
At Locked Up, Banks would get revenge on Styles as he defeated Styles to win his first ECCW Television Championship. For several months Banks defended the title as he retained it against Styles at Sacrifice and against Grandmaster Steve at The Rumble. Banks' championship reign would come to an end at Revenge as he was defeated by Phillip Mustang in a triple threat match that also involved Styles. Five days later however,
Banks defeated The Afro Kid to begin his second reign as ECCW Hardcore Champion Banks then resumed his feud with Styles and he defeated Styles at Redemption to retain the ECCW Hardcore Championship. Banks then lost the belt back to The Afro Kid at Starstruck. However eight days later at WarZone, Banks defeated The Afro Kid to begin his third reign as ECCW Hardcore Champion. Both The Afro Kid and Banks would trade the Hardcore title weekly until Banks defeated The Afro Kid at Summer Smash to begin his sixth reign as ECCW Hardcore Champion and also ending his feud with The Afro Kid.
The formation of Da Xtreme Dynasty and Tag Team Dominance[]
At Bloody Glory, Banks was randomly paired with former rival Kevin Styles to go up against Sean Jamison and Alex Brand which they defeated Jamison and Brand with succession. Later that night, both Banks and Styles helped James Baker injure Phillip Mustang and in the process helping Baker become the new ECCW World Heavyweight Champion which raised questions as to whether the pairing of both Styles and Banks was random or not. The next night on WarZone, Baker revealed that the pairing of Styles and Banks was not random as he had planned to pair them up for weeks. Baker, Styles and Banks then officially formed Da Xtreme Dynasty while the fans were booing them and pelting them with debris.
At ECCW Night of Champions 2003, Banks not only retained the ECCW Hardcore Championship over Terry Jones, but he and Styles defeated Kevin and Efran Ortiz to begin their long reign as the ECCW World Tag Team Champions. Also at the Pay-Per-View, both Styles and Banks then helped Baker successfully defended his ECCW World Heavyweight Championship as he defeated Alex Brand to retain the title.
Styles and Banks then started their dominance over the tag team division as they turned back every possible tag team that they defended their championships against while still helping James Baker win his matches. At The Rumble, Banks lost the ECCW Hardcore Championship to Mario Johnson. Months later Baker and Da Xtreme Dynasty then resumed their rivalry with Phillip Mustang with Mustang and Baker both gaining the upper hand over each other. Meanwhile, both Styles and Banks were constantly fending off every tag team that was thrown in front of them as they defeated a lot of different tag teams to retain their ECCW World Tag Team Championship. At Night of Champions 2004, Styles and Banks defeated Kilo Perez and Jamaican Sensation to retain their ECCW World Tag Team Championship, while Baker defeated Phillip Mustang to win the ECCW World Heavyweight Championship and also ending the Baker versus Mustang feud once and for all.
After the Baker vs Mustang feud came to an end, Da Xtreme Dynasty then set their focus on trying to gain the other championships in ECCW. Baker then defeated both Juan Martinez and Mario Johnson to gain both the ECCW Television Championship and the ECCW Hardcore Championship. The following week on WarZone, Baker then held a ceremony in the ring and he gave Styles the ECCW Hardcore Championship while he gave Banks the ECCW Television Championship as an act of kindness. On the January 17th, 2005 edition of WarZone, Da Xtreme Dynasty were involved in a screwjob like match as they paid a referee to help Baker defeat Sean Jamison to begin his seventh reign as the ECCW World Heavyweight Champion. However those efforts were short lived as Baker lost the ECCW World Heavyweight Championship back to Jamison at Redemption.
The Breakup of Da Xtreme Dynasty and the Formation of The MidEast Driveby Connection[]
The next night on WarZone, Baker called both Banks and Styles to the ring. Baker stated that he wanted to start off fresh and help Da Xtreme Dynasty to get back to the top. However it was all revealed to be a setup as Baker then attacked Banks and Styles and laid them out to officially end Da Xtreme Dynasty. Later that night both Styles and Banks were attacked again by Baker and Phillip Mustang which officially turned Banks into a face for the first time in his career while Styles turned face for the first time in two years. Both Styles and Banks then remained as a tag team and renamed themselves The MidEast Driveby Connection and they then stated their desire to get revenge on James Baker and Phillip Mustang who by this point had reformed The Driveby Express.
Both teams then traded the ECCW World Tag Team Championships with each other over the next year and their rivalry also became very heated as Baker employed several psychological and dirty tactics to gain the advantage over The MidEast Driveby Connection. After the feud with Baker and Mustang ended, Banks was involved in many different feuds with his tag team with Kevin Styles being quietly phased out. At the final ECCW show, both Styles and Banks competed in a three way tag team match against The Driveby Express and the returning team of Ron Bridges and The Afro Kid, unfortunately for Styles and Banks, they lost the match when Baker pinned Bridges to win the match for The Driveby Express.
Classic Wrestling Federation (2009 - 2010)[]
The Reunion of Da Xtreme Dynasty and Feuding with The Richards Legion[]
With James Baker now being a face and with him feuding with The Horsemen, Baker then received a phone call from Kevin Styles saying that both he and J.T. Banks have signed a contract with the CWF to become a tag team and to also reunite Da Xtreme Dynasty for the first time in four years. Baker has stated that his wife Danielle Lopez will be the manager/valet of both Styles and Banks while he will occasionally come to ringside to support them. Da Xtreme Dynasty will be a face stable once they debut for the CWF.
On the October 24th edition of Showdown, both Styles and Banks made their CWF debut as they faced off against High Concept (Darryl Devine and Jacob Jett) and The Double Dragons (Jeffrey Bogard and Johnny Lee) in a triple threat tornado tag team match up for an opportunity at the CWF World Tag Team Championship at Halloween Extreme, Styles and Banks unfortunately lost the match up as Darryl Devine eliminated Banks via the Devine Intervention onto the steel chair. In various promos of their own and some of James Baker's promos, Da Xtreme Dynasty has taken jabs at The Richards Legion calling them "the Inbreded Legion", "the Cock Sucking Legion", jackasses and "the Inbreded Cock Sucking Legion" among other distasteful names. Both Styles and Banks have stated that they'll be glad to take on The Richards Legion and they'll do it anytime and anywhere. The feud with The Richards Legion however was put on hold due to Terry Richards turning into a face. As a result of Terry's face turn, The Richards Legion also turned face as well.
On the November 21st edition of Showdown, both Styles and Banks faced the tag team Molten Lava to determine the number one contender for the CWF World Tag Team Championship at Battle to Survive and defeated them with The MidEast Driveby. At Battle to Survive, both Styles and Banks faced Degradation for the CWF World Tag Team Championship, but unfortunately came up short of the victory. On the January 2nd edition of Showdown, Styles and Banks will face off against The Richards Legion and The O'Reilly Brothers for a shot at the CWF World Tag Team Championship at Last Man Standing against Degradation, but lost when Ray O'Reilly pinned Styles. After the match, Styles and Banks then got into a brawl with the Richards Legion. James Baker made the save for Styles and Banks until Terry Richards came onto the screen and revealed that he was the one who kidnapped Enrique Lopez.
Part 2 of Feud with The Richards Legion/Legion of Shadows and CWF World Tag Team Championship Reign[]
As a result of the events, the original members of Da Xtreme Dynasty will team up for the first time in five years as they'll take on all they members of The Richards Legion in a 6 man tag team match at Last Man Standing, but the team lost the match when Terry pinned Banks following the Shock Turn II. On the January 16th edition of Showdown, Styles and Banks went up against The Richards Legion in a tag team match and lost when Terry Richards interfered and clipped Banks' ankle to cause Chris Richards to pin him.
On the second edition of the Late Night with Bobby Crane Show, Baker and Da Xtreme Dynasty made an appearance where it was revealed that Baker kidnapped Terry Richards' sister Hikari with Baker also throwing out some demands while Styles and Banks had tension with Bobby Crane. On the February 6th edition of Showdown, Styles and Banks faced Rob Osbourne and his new bodyguard Retribution, but again came out on the losing end as Retrubution pinned Styles following the Final Judgement. Styles and Banks however had a visible presence on the show as they helped their leader James Baker attack Trent Walker, they made a deal with The O'Reilly Brothers to watch their back in their match for a CWF World Tag Team Championship match and they delivered on that promise as they costed The Richards Legion the match.
Becoming CWF World Tag Team Champions, a Change in Personality and Feuding with The O'Reilly Brothers and Team Baller[]
On the February 20th edition of Showdown, Styles and Banks faced The O'Reilly Brothers for the CWF Tag Team Championships and won the match when Banks pinned Ray O'Reilly after he and Styles hit Ray with the Lights Out to win their third tag team championship as a team. Shortly after, Banks' character changed dramatically as he went from a musclehead with little common sense to a more independent human with loads of confidence that's very similar of his ECCW character, except he's fallen in love with a girl and he's not too shy to speak his mind
On the February 27th edition of Showdown, every member of the Dynasty were involved in a segment with The O'Reilly Brothers and The Legion of Shadows. The Segment ended with Danielle Lopez getting injured at the hands of their nemesis, Terry Richards while the rematch between Styles and Banks and The O'Reilly's was official for Night of Champions V: Liftoff. Later on in the show, Styles and Banks got some form of payback for Danielle by costing The Legion their match against The O'Reilly's. On the March 6th edition of Showdown, Styles and Banks then helped James Baker gain more revenge towards the Legion of Shadows by hitting Chris Richards with a Double Chop Block to the knees while they hit both Alex Richards and Israel Steele with Lights Out and The Dream Destroyer, respectively.
At Night of Champions V: Liftoff, Styles and Banks defended their titles against The O'Reilly Brothers in a rematch, but the match ended in a no contest as the O'Reilly's attacked Styles and Banks before the bell rang. The match then started again later on in the night, but again, the two teams got into a brawl and as a result, Styles and Banks are still the champions. On the March 27th edition of Showdown, the original members of Da Xtreme Dynasty went up against the Legion of Shadows in a six man tag team match and it went to a no contest as the two factions went to an all out brawl with each other. At Super Card VI, Styles and Banks teamed up with Danielle Lopez and defended their titles against The O'Reilly Brothers and Suzanne Winters, but lost the titles when Banks was pinned.
On the April 16th edition of Showdown, Styles, Banks, Blair and Danielle all brawled with The O'Reilly Brothers and Suzanne, for not giving them the first shot. Styles, Blair and Banks laid The O'Reilly Brothers out with steel chairs, while Danielle hit Suzanne with the Latinasault onto a chair wrapped around her neck. At Vendetta, Da Xtreme Dynasty will go against The O'Reilly Brothers in a steel cage match for a shot at the CWF World Tag Team Championship in what was billed as the final encounter between these two teams.
At Vendetta, Da Xtreme Dynasty will go against The O'Reilly Brothers in a steel cage match for a shot at the CWF World Tag Team Championship in what is billed as the final encounter between these two teams and they lost when Styles accidentally sent Cyrill out of the cage with a dropkick. On May 2, 2010. Banks along with James Baker, Danielle Lopez and Kevin Styles asked for his release from the company and he was granted that wish. The release was said to be without problems and there may even be a possible return in the future.

Libertarian Wrestling and Other Appearances (2011)[]
After not competing in a wrestling ring in quite sometime, it was reported that Banks signed a contract to compete in Libertarian Wrestling. Banks hasn't confirmed it, but did recently state in a video that he was torn on either being a singles competitor or team up with Kevin Styles in the tag team division. One thing is for certain, J.T. implied that he will make the decision soon enough. Weeks later, Banks did sign the contract to be a singles competitor for the company, with Kevin Styles as his full-time manager. On the debut show for Libertarian Wrestling, titled Liberty I: The Foundation, Banks competed against Syn and Liam Reilly in a Triple Threat match to crown the first ever LW Freedom Champion. The lights turned off and Danielle Lopez came in for the save, hitting Springboard Potential Damage on Liam and hitting the Latinasault to Syn after J.T. Banks and Talia hit him with moves. Afterwards, the three of them cut promos about the things they've done in the business. From womens divisions, to being a pioneer in women beating men, to the tag team division. They announced that they were forming a stable called Weapon X. The show ended as all three of them celebrated with one another. However, Libertarian Wrestling ended after just one show.

He and Styles made an appearance on the third episode of PWW's Sunday Night Knockout, talking trash to their longtime rivals Alex and Chris Richards while Talia Skye mainly focused on Hikari Richards. At PWW: Here to Stay (2011), Styles and Banks accompanied Talia for her PWW Womens Championship defense against Hikari Richards. He will make his debut on the June 5th edition of Collision as he teamed up with Jeremy Wright to take on Matt Parker and Hardcore Tony. The duo got the victory when Jeremy Wright pinned Matt Parker after hitting him with the From KittyHawk. Banks made an appearance on the June 12th edition of Collision and got into a brawl with Ant, ending with him being laid out and Alexis being flipped the finger by Ant. At ACW's first pay-per-view Retribution, Banks went one on one with Anthony Tarantino, and despite a hard fought match, he had no choice but to submit to a sleeper hold. Later on in the night, Banks told Kenua to take charge and take back his company, but as he walked away, he was laid out into a mirror by Shaun Andrews, a man aligned with Ant. On the June 9th edition of Rapture, Banks along with his girlfriend Alexis Landry appeared on the show and took out both Aaron Black and Harley St. James before cutting a promo. Banks declared himself and Alexis as competitors into the PCW World Tag Team Championship tournament, in large part due to Da Xtreme Dynasty never being pin or made to submit to lose the titles. At Slamathon III, the duo got their chance to enter as they face The Bull and Ape Alliance and The Jobbers for Hire in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match, and won when Banks pinned Norton while Alexis pinned McCord after hitting them with their finishers. On the July 8th edition of Insanity, Banks and Landry made an appearance during the True Money Inc. vs. The Dixon Family match and wiped out both competitors with weapons as well as brutal moves. The match was declared a three way with J.T. and Alexis being added. The couple won the match with ease after they hit Diego Aguila with the Lights Out double team move made famous by Da Xtreme Dynasty to move on to round two in the tournament. Earlier in the night and during a match, signs of a heel turn for both Alexis and J.T. were evident after they made scathing comments about the tag team division as a whole. It went to a further level when J.T. trashed Talia Skye in an interview and said a derogatory word towards her boyfriend, Tylor Riott.
Heel Turn and Membership with Toxic[]
On July 11, 2012. Banks and Alexis joined the Toxic ranks, about solidifying their status as heels and as official members of the stable. On the July 21st edition of Rapture, J.T. and Alexis officially turned heel by disparaging Talia Skye and Generation Next before brawling with them. A time after that went down, Banks got scolded by his longtime friend and PCW GM James Baker about the beef, possibly causing a rift between them. On the August 4th edition of Rapture, the heel turn was further cemented when Alexis hit Kevin Styles with a steel chair, and Banks put a dagger right through the longtime friendship with Styles by hitting him in the head with a steel chair. He beat on his best friend until Generation Next made the save. Later that night, they faced The Disciples of Syn and lost when Syn pinned Alexis following The Killing Joke. On the September 15th edition of Rapture, he along with Toxic broke the ankle of longtime nemesis Talia Skye, effectively ending her PCW career.
Face Turn[]
On November 12, 2012. Banks shocked the world when he tweeted that he was leaving The Toxic Disciples of Syn and Morgan (Toxic and The Disciples of Syn as a super group) and issued an apology to talents such as Ryan "The Reaper" Robinson, Bella Brooks-Robinson, his long time tag team partner Kevin Styles and fellow Da Xtreme Dynasty teammates James Baker and Danielle Lopez, with all accepting the apology and effectively turning him back into a face. At Struggle for Power III, the face turn was confirmed when Banks along with Kevin Styles, Ryan "The Reaper" Robinson and Tom Pendergrass of Team Lethality came out and saved James Baker and Terrell Ryder from being beaten down by Toxic and the Disciples of Syn. On the December 22nd edition of Rapture. Styles and Banks cut a taped promo from Japan and challenged newly crowned tag team champions The Bull and Ape Alliance to a match at Wrestle Extravaganza III: St. Valentine's Massacre with the titles on the line. Before the match, they announced that Talia Skye (the real life girlfriend of J.T. Banks) would be the team's manager. The match came and it was one that was for the ages as the two fan favorite teams battled it out. In the end, Styles and Banks won the match after they hit Ape with the Light's Out to win the titles for the second time. On the March 2nd edition of Rapture, they faced Bull and Ape in a rematch with the titles on the line with the stipulation that if Bull and Ape lost, they would lose their spots on the main roster. The match was back and forth and Da Dynasty won when Styles and Banks hit Ape with the Lights Out, effectively ending Bull and Ape's reign on the main roster. On the March 11th, 2013 house show dubbed as Leon Lonewolf appreciation night, Styles and Banks defended the PCW World Tag Team Championship against The Double Dragons in a ladder match. Da Dynasty retained when they grabbed the titles after hitting both members of the Double Dragons with the Lights Out. They eventually lost the titles to The Princesses of Lethality (now The Lethal Barbarians) in a TLC match which included The Pac and lost the rematch at Slamathon IV, the latter making it the first time (and ended up being the only time) they lost a legitimate tag team match in PCW.
Personal life[]
Banks was born in Brooklyn, New York to Robert and Selena Banks. A construction worker and a nurse respectably. But by the age of ten, his father was killed in a tragic construction accident, while two years later, his mother passed away in a car accident. The death of his father as well as his mother passing away just two years later really affected Banks as a youth but he never let it slow him down. He had to be the "man" of his family so to speak. He had two brothers (Shawn and Steven) and two sisters (Tiffany and Kyra who both are signed with Pride Wrestling). He practically raised them despite them all living with their grandparents in Brooklyn until they were able to make it out on their own. He is the oldest out of his siblings. He has a cousin Lauren who is also a professional wrestler in Pride Wrestling.
Banks is an avid fan of the New York Mets (MLB), the New York Knicks (NBA) and the New York Jets (NFL). Today he currently resides in San Diego, California, the same city that all of Da Xtreme Dynasty and Generation Xtreme reside in. J.T.'s well known friends in the industry, and best friends are his former Da Xtreme Dynasty teammates James Baker, Danielle Lopez and Kevin Styles. His other friends include Desiree Miles, Israel Steele, Terrell Ryder, Jane Isis and Damon, Aaron and Nathan Warrens among others.
Banks was in a long term relationship with fellow ECCW alumnus Breanna Barker that started in 1995 before the two had even gotten into wrestling. Their relationship ended in 1997 after two years together. Banks was in a relationship with fellow ECCW alumnus Rosa Rodriguez from 2005 until December 18, 2006 as they broke up. He was previously in a ten month relationship with Mariah Lopez (better known to the world as the cousin of Phillip, Danielle and Enrique Lopez, who would soon start a career in professional wrestling herself) that started in March 2010, but they broke up in January 2011 after Mariah revealed to be a lesbian and the two of them still remain friends. After that, he started dating fellow professional wrestler, PCW alumnus and Generation Xtreme/Weapon X teammate Talia Skye in June 2011. The two of them confirmed their relationship at an autograph signing, but as of January 2012, the couple decided to split. In December 2012, it was confirmed that the two are indeed dating again as they were seen together in Japan. The two of them live together in San Diego, California, and are engaged with the wedding date confirmed for mid-January. In between the break up with Talia, there were rumors of Banks dating fellow wrestler Alexis Landry, but the two denied it. Instead, their rumored relationship was strictly an on-screen romance when both were heels in PCW. The on-screen pairing ended when Banks turned back into a face in November of that year.
