Summertime Smash is an up-coming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by Inferno Championship Wrestling (ICW) that will take place on July 11, 2010 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan So far, nine matches are announce to take place at the event.
Background[]
The main feud going to Summertime Smash is Leon Lonewolf and Draven Logan Kennedy. At Eruption 4.3, Kennedy attacked Lonewolf during a in-ring promo and cashed in the briefcase he won after previous-holder Oblivion resigned from ICW and won by pinning Wayne Morley. Kennedy defeated Lonewolf and won the ICW Championship. A furious Lonewolf came out the next week and announced a match between himself and Kennedy at Summertime Smash. Morley comes out and demands a spot in the match, as does TJ Tilli. ICW Chairman Tyler Brownlee comes out and says that all 4 men will face off at Sumertime Smash with both the World and Destruction titles on the line and the match won't end until both titles have been retained and/or changed hands. On Eruption 5.3, the final episode leading to Summertime Smash, Kennedy won a Beat the Clock Challenge, involving Lonewolf, Tilli, and Morley, and chose a No Holds Barred Match as the stipulation.
Morley and Air have held the ICW Tag Team Championships since ICW Slamathon and have not decent competition, but fellow jobbers Jerry Static and Maverick Zero want to prove themselves as a great Tag Team. SO far, their theories have proven wrong as they lost every match they have been in, singles and tag teams. Morley and Air decided to let them compete for the titles in a stipulation of the winner of Air and Zero on Eruption 5.1. Air defeated Zero and chose to defend their titles in a Ladder Match at Summertime Smash.
After losing the World title, Zack Blaze hasn't been on television for a while. On Eruption 3.4, he returned to TV, winning against a jobber, but Xavier Serikaz attacked him after the match. After several post-match assault, Blaze challenged Serikaz to a Hardcore Match at Summertime Smash, in which Serikaz accepted.
Announced on ICW.com, Chairman Tyler Brownlee announced 2 Cross-Promotional Matches for Summertime Smash. first is former TWF Extreme Champion TLK against ICW's Boby Hendrix. The second is NLWF Tag Team Champion Jason Hawk against SCW's Mariano Fernandez.
