The ICWF Championship is Impact Championship Wrestling Federation's major championship, competed for in a variety of matches. It was conceived in June 2008 and first put on the line in ICWF's first ever Hardcore Hell match. It is rarely defended, as it is the top prize and so far has only been competed for on Pay-Per-View.
History[]
The ICWF Championship was initially conceived by Scott Simmonds around the time of ICWF's conception. He designed the title in an effort to draw big names who would be interested in carrying the top spot in his company, as well as a very prestigious title. History however cannot be made up, it mus be written. So far the short history of the ICWF Championship has proven to be an interesting one. The very first ICWF Champion was Rachel Waters, not only the first ICWF Champion but the first female ICWF Champion too. She won the belt at ICWF's debut Pay-Per-View Hardcore Heaven in the first ever Hardcore Hell match. She lost the title however to Kyobu Shoji at the Doomsday event.
Following the closure of ICWF in late 2008 the title was vacated, however with the reopening in 2010 it is undecided as to who the champion will be. It can only be a matter of time before a new piece of history is forged.
