Shock Value (2017) was a professional wrestling free-per-view (FPV) event and EAW Network event, produced by Elite Answers Wrestling for the Voltage brand. It took place on November 25, 2017, at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Background[]
After defeating the EAW Chairman Mr. DEDEDE in a memorable match at Road to Redemption (2017) and won his very own "Gawd Contract," Chris Elite made his intentions clear when interrupting the EAW World Heavyweight Champion Jamie O'Hara on the November 12 edition of Voltage. Elite informed O'Hara that he would be his next challenger at Shock Value.
With both of them falling short in the Voltage Extreme Elimination Chamber at Road to Redemption (2017), Keelan Cetinich and Lars Grier both had similar intentions to challenge for the EAW Interwire Championship at Shock Value and presented their cases to Voltage General Manager, Kenny Drake. Drake, however, informed them that opponents for Amadeus had already been made, and instead openly admitted that Grier and Cetinich should continue their quest to the World Heavyweight Championship. Drake announced that the two would face one another at Shock Value in an Electric Deathmatch, with the winner earning a future championship match against the EAW World Heavyweight Champion.
On the October 22 edition of Voltage, Jon McAdams and Moongoose McQueen both picked up a victory in the same match after much controversy. Kenny Drake revealed on the November 12th edition of Voltage that they have both been rewarded with championship matches at the Shock Value event on November 25. Jon McAdams would challenge the EAW New Breed Champion Finnegan Wakefield in a Blackout match, while Moongoose McQueen would challenge the EAW Interwire Champion Amadeus in a Triple Threat High Voltage match, also featuring Carlos Rosso.
