EAW 2K22 is an upcoming professional wrestling video game developed in a collaboration between Yuke's and Visual Concepts, and published by 2K Sports. It is scheduled to be released on November 5, 2021 worldwide for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Microsoft, Windows , Nintendo Switch , Steam, and Epic Game Store. There will also be versions of the game tailored to meet the needs of the Apple and Android platforms. It is the seventh game in the EAW game series (sixth under 2K banner), and a follow-up to EAW 2K21.
Marketing[]
The weekend of Midsummer Massacre introduced EAW 2K22 to the world, alongside a live action trailer, and the official cover of the game. That cover featured the EAW Answers World Champion + King of Elite holder, Kassidy Heart, front and centre. The release date was then later revealed to be dropping originally on October 22, 2021, later to be in stores November 5, 2021. During the developer Reveal Notes, many outside-details were announced; An EAW Supercard 2K22-themed update, and EAW Topps 2K22 rare cards. On August 1, 2021, EAW would release a video of Jake Smith's in-game entrance, displaying the new graphics and character model. Later, this year's Roster Reveal came around, announcing most current members of all three Dynasty, Showdown, and Voltage rosters, alongside a fourth Hall of Fame roster reveal.
Gameplay[]
EAW 2K22 has promised to deliver more of what made the last games great, as well as expanding on them to make the experience better than the last. Various game modes were revamped, such as Rivalry, Universe, MyRing and Chairman, as well as new match types, to make your playing experience much more diverse, and to allow your universe to spring to life with these well-loved match types, ranging from Divide and Conquer, High Voltage, to Glass Wallz, Electric Dog Collar, and more.

Game modes[]
Following the previous two games, EAW 2K22 will also feature a similar mode to the Legend Edition, now dubbed the 15th Anniversary Edition. The cover of this edition features three Hall of Famers; Cameron Ella Ava, Y2Impact, and CM Banks. Alongside this, this edition includes an exclusive selection of goods; an exclusive acrylic piece featuring a piece of an EAW Dynasty Ring Skirt from January 26, 2009, one randomized EAW Legend Autograph from Vic Vendetta, Captain Charisma, or Heart Break Boy. One randomized autographed EAW Funko POP! Figure - HRDO, Tyler Parker, or MAK - as well as the Pre-Order Bonus content, ALL DLC's and Supercard Bonus Content.
Not only that, but EAW 2K22 has also reintroduced the Road to Pain For Pride game mode, centering around Xander Payne's journey to Pain For Pride 14.
New Features
EAW 2K22 will feature the same gameplay of the previous iteration along with graphical improvements to expand on the Next Generation consoles, making everything look, feel, and move better than the last version of the game. Gameplay wise, EAW 2K21 is scheduled to feature a brand new EAW Towers mode, with an all-new Tower inspired by the storied career of Mr. DEDEDE. It also allows players to unlock special attires for their favorite Elitists, or upgrade cards for MyElitist. This game has also updated the look to current and past championships, as well as debuting the new designs. Along with the titles, the updated arenas for Season 15 also make an appearance, alongside the World 1 Theatre.
