The CWF Unified Championship is a secondary championship for the Classic Wrestling Federation. The first ever CWF Unified Champion was T-Money, who along with "The Ruler" Paul Blair and Jon "Diggity" Jericho, hold the distinction of the most reigns, with four each.  Bob Osbourne holds the disntiction as the longest reigning Unified Champion in CWF history at 92 days.  The final champion was SJ Funk.

Origins[]

When the CWF returned in June of 1998, it returned under the name Classic Wrestling Organization. Mark X wanted to differentiate the new era from the original one, and along with CWO, the Unified Championship was a part of the new branding. The Unified Title took the place of the CWF Assault Championship. Mark wanted a championship that could be looked at as a mid-card level championship that could be used as a springboard to the upper card status. Many former CWF World Champions have held the Unified Title first. The Unified Title has changed hands quite a bit, but that is due to the fighting nature of the title. It is looked upon as a "TV Title" type of championship, as it is often defended at every live show. The first ever CWF Unified Champion was crowned at the first ever Summer Smash in 1998. The Main Event featured a Battle Royal with the entire roster. In that Battle Royal the final three wrestlers would earn championships, with third place becoming the first ever Unified Champion. The man who many associate the Unified Title with due to four reigns, T-Money, claimed the first title reign by finishing third.
