Starting with this event, Retribution and Salvation will alternate events and one brand will have an extra event over the other. This year, Retribution gained the extra event for 2008 while in 2009 Salvation will have the extra event. On May 31, 2008, Christian Championship Wrestling won the Invasion pay-per-view event and thus ending the alternating events between Retribution and Salvation. All the promotions in the event absorbed together to make United Wrestling Federation and use respective events from the companies that were in business. This years' event was held at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, Alabama featuring an Ultimate X Match that has 6 wrestlers in the match.
