Billy Luke Adamson (Born January 12th, 1980) better known by his ring name, Bobby Lewis is a African-American Professional Wrestler who is well-known for his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment, DDT Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and Progress Wrestling.

Currently competing under WWE and DDT, Lewis has won multiple titles and accomplishments under both promotions, including winning the WWE versions of the WCW World Championship and ECW World Championship, and in DDT the DDT Universal Championship and the KO-D Open Weight Championship. He has also won gold under various promotions over her 20+ year career.

Early Life[]

Adamson was born in New Orleans Louisiana on January 12th, 1980 to Sarah and Marcus Adamson. Adamson would spend his entire life in New Orleans, even residing in the city to this very day. Adamson would receive a masters degree in medical and culinary arts before pursuing his pro wrestling career.

Adamson would become fascinated with Pro Wrestling through his mother. His father never understood their love for the sport, but was never against it. Lewis would take up Football after his gym teacher would recommend that he play linebacker. No record of his time in football was recorded unfortunately.

Personal Life[]

Marriages and Family[]

Lewis married Kim Campbell in 2003. They have 3 kids together, Ciara, Karl, and Vincent Adamson. Kim would pass away in 2009 via Stage 3 cancer. Lewis was overseas in Japan when he learned of her passing.

Alcohol and Substance Abuse History[]

Following the passing of Kim, Lewis fell into a deep depression due to him losing his first wife. As a result, he began to start drinking alcohol. Prior to this, he was known to many of his colleagues as a substance abuser after the Sandman and Rob Van Dam found him popping pills before a match against Psychosis. When his tag team partner at the time, Rikishi found out about it, he took Adamson on vacation to Hawaii to help him beat his substance. After 5 months away from DDT, Lewis came back clean and finally beat his alcoholism.
