The AWF World Championship is a professional e-wrestling world championship in Answers Wrestling Federation (AWF). It is currently part of the Legacy brand and is one of the two major championships, complimenting the AWF World Heavyweight Championship on the Chaos brand. It was first established in January 2007 when Answers Wrestling Federation was first opened. Seven years later, Answers Wrestling Federation was revived, recognizing this championship with a separate championship history.

History[]

Although the AWF World Championship has been around since 2007, when Answers Wrestling Federation was first created, the championship's history is only officially recognized from it's rebirth forward. In the year or so that the AWF World Championship was competed for in 2007, it changed hands a number of times. The current management of Answers Wrestling Federation acknowledges the reigns, but does not officially recognize them in their title history.

In January 2014, Answers Wrestling Federation returned and unveiled that it would have a single world championship for both brands to compete for. Twenty competitors, ten from each brand, were entered into a tournament that would eventually crown the inaugural champion. Eventually, Chaos was stripped of its rights to a finalist in the tournament and the first AWF World Championship match was between two Legacy competitors: Stigmata and Mr. DEDEDE. After a sensational match, "Hollywood" Mr. DEDEDE was able to escape as the first AWF World Champion of the modern era. On July 19th, 2014 at the final AWF FPV, Endgame, Jacob Senn would defeat Mr. DEDEDE after his match with Gunkai Riggs. The next month, Jacob Senn would debut the championship in Extreme Answers Wrestling to stake his claim as "champion of e-feds" in his quest for their world championship.
