Early Career

Universal Wrestling Federation (April 2009 - June 2010)

Matt Harrison made his first appearance in the UWF when he was announced as being Dean James' Tag Team Championship partner after Dean James had acquired both championships in a match against former partner, Adam Militia.

The two instantly formed a team and feuded against The Dark Alliance (Adam Militia and Bailey Almindo) over the titles. At Seven Deadly Sins 2009 the two were successful in defending the Tag Team Championships against The Dark Alliance. After the match both Matt Harrison and Dean James were attacked by the debutting Jason Creed, putting them both on the shelf for the month.

The two both returned around about a month later when they faced each other in a special bonus match for their hometown crowd. Later on that night Dean James faced Jason Creed in a Texas Death Match.

Several weeks later the two once again defended their Tag Team Championships, this time against the newly formed team of Johnny Sanchez and Cozzy X. The two lost their Tag Team Championships to Johnny Sanchez and Cozzy X after Jason Creed interfered in the match.

Matt Harrison began to fizzle out from the UWF action whilst his tag team partner, Dean James, feuded with Jason Creed. At SummerBash Jason Creed once again put Dean James on the shelf when he faced him in a Casket Of Torture Match, this prompted Matt Harrison to seek vengeance on the following weeks Revenge show.He was unsuccessful in seeking vengeance, losing to Jason Creed.

It was some months before Matt Harrison would be seen again, he returned at The Ultimate Showdown 2010 to induct Eddie Garcia into the UWF Hall Of Fame alongside Eddie Garcia's son, Richard Garcia.
